I was quoted a fixed price, and before starting the job they even watched a video of all the items, so they knew exactly what needed to be moved. Once they started loading, they suddenly said the price I paid was only for one load. After finishing the first load, they then demanded double the money for a second load, which was never clearly explained beforehand. This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. SCAM – AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company is extremely misleading. Over the phone, I was told we were booking the truck for 8 hours, which they also confirmed it was perfect for a property chain completion when unloading times can be uncertain. However, on the day, after just 6 hours, the team suddenly refused to continue unloading in the new property, unless I paid an additional £350, claiming it was for "2 hours of waiting time.” I challenged this, pointing out that we were still well within the 8 hours agreed and that they had already begun unloading earlier in the garden. Their response was to point to a small, obscure note in the contract that had never been mentioned and which directly contradicted what I was told about having the truck for 8 hours. They refused to continue unless I paid immediately (with “cash preferred”), effectively holding all of my belongings hostage in the truck. It felt very much like blackmail. AVOID!!!! Worst moving experience ever... The relocation was only 2 miles between old and new home... I had a smoother experience moving from Los Angeles to London. Broken Furniture, Stolen Jewelry, Argumentative staff. The front office still hasn't refunded us for the broken furniture... giving us the run around that the insurance deposit isn't worth paying for the broken bed frame... chased them for 3 months for the compensation and they would never return calls. I caught one of the movers going through a sealed box to look at personal photos... I had to argue for them to cover the newly carpeted stairs, as they claimed their shoes were clean. As they pull up to the new house there are suddenly additional fees in the hundreds and they only would accept cash. DO NOT HIRE!!!! I hired Fast Interior Removals to move a 3 bed house and regretted it. They used 'bait and switch' to hook me into an agreement. (When I wrote this review, Fast Interior wrote a response to it saying it was disheartened by it, and asked me to contact them privately to rectify the issues, again 'baiting' the customer. I did contact them, and they did not reply. Instead they used my contact information to edit their response on Google, deleting the conciliatory response and replacing it with the highly defensive and false one now below).They surveyed my house and said 4 hours should be enough, at most it may need an extra hour, and quoted me 4 hours at £480, with extra hours at £120, and stressed it should be completed 4 or 5 hours. This was using a van and doing 2 trips, which seemed strange, but I trusted them as they spoke like they know the job well, little did I suspect that yes they know it well and are using 'bait' techniques with a wholly misrepresented time scale that renders the quote totally misleading.It is entirely false that this was clearly explained. It was classic obscure explanation, to bait the customer into accepting what looks like a good quote, but which is actually much worse value than any competitor.When the removal team arrived on the day, the first thing they did was laugh at my expectations that the job was going to be done in 4 hours. It actually took them 9 hours. I was shocked and felt totally violated and taken advantage of. From starting as the cheapest quote, they ended as the most expensive by a very wide margin.The removal team also dented the walls in about 5 places, which I had to repair urgently. When told about it they did not care.They also added VAT, although they did not make clear that the quote was excluding VAT initially, and I had to go back after they added it to discover it in the smallest print of one line buried at the bottom of the quote. They offered to remove the VAT if I paid cash, which I declined obviously, because it was illegal tax evasion.The removal team took frequent religious prayer breaks and charged me for that too. They also said that it was also Ramadan fasting and they are working slower than usual, but didn't discount to allow for that.Finally they dismantled a wardrobe for no reason, and took about an hour to put it back together. It was totally unnecessary and the company that moved it into the first house did so without dismantling it. Some stood around watching for nothing, which is also time charged to the customer. They did not even bother to ask if I wanted or agreed to dismantling it at great cost.
