Remedying roof problems is an education. You have no idea the extent of the damage because all you might see is the consequence (leaks/ ceiling stains etc. ). As a result, you have to trust the honesty of the roofer advising you. Having experienced several frustrating non-responses from other traders, Kevin's prompt call within minutes of setting out our Bark job requirements was decidedly positive. He is a 'glass half-full' personable chap, who took time to explain the issues and what else he 'might find up there'. His estimate as to the cost was a shock, yet no doubt in line with other roofers in general. This was mitigated by the quality of the remedial work. On a hot and sunny day, Kevin's team (of one) worked hard without a break, to complete what was required. To the time of writing this review, we have not discerned any problems, so it is not possible at this stage to allocate the full 5 stars, even though in the longer term it may be deserved.
Our only recommendations for would-be readers of this review are more general about the roofing industry as a whole (not specifically Midland Roofs Ltd.) - read the guidance on the Roofing Association website, and take advantage of information provided by Bark. More...

Very easy to work with plus got a nice waterproof roof again

First impressions with Kevin were impressive. Having told him of my problems he inspected the roof. What impressed me was his attitude that on inspection, he would assess the work and if areas where ok he would inform me. He definitely was not looking for extra work and payments.
The men doing the job where excellent, from the scaffolding team, to the Midland roofing guys. They where on time, polite and made an excellent job of the repairs.
The response from Kevin was just so good, he kept me up to date with everything.

Initially asked to replace a few tiles. However, once on the roof realised that more work was needed. Kevin's professionalism and honesty shun out as he refused to replace a few tiles leading to shoddy work. A fair quote was given to replace missing and broken tiles, repointing, any other work to make water tight and cleaning gutters.
