What do you love most about your job?
What I love most is the privilege of being part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives. Whether it’s a wedding, a vow renewal, or another milestone, it’s incredibly special to help create a ceremony that truly reflects the people at the heart of it. I feel honoured to tell their stories, celebrate their love, and help bring joy, comfort, or connection to families and friends. Every ceremony is unique – and being trusted to shape those moments is something I never take for granted.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to become a celebrant after my own wedding. Don’t get me wrong – I loved our day – but looking back, I realise how much more personal and meaningful the ceremony could have been. It was over so quickly, and I felt it didn’t truly reflect us as a couple. That experience stayed with me, and I knew I wanted to offer something more for others – a ceremony that tells their story, their way. Starting my own celebrant business has given me the chance to do just that: to create heartfelt, personal ceremonies that feel truly special and unforgettable.

I offer consultations either online or in person, depending on what suits you best.
Our initial exploratory chat is usually held online – it’s a relaxed conversation to get to know each other and see if I’m the right celebrant for you.
If you decide to book me, I prefer to hold our main wedding ceremony consultation in person. You’re very welcome to visit me at my home office in York, or I can come to you. Many couples also choose to meet at their wedding venue, which is a fantastic option – it gives me the chance to get a feel for the space and start imagining how your ceremony will come to life.
