I got married last summer and I had found my dream dress in France. Due to Covid I was not able to go back to France to try and order the dress. I looked online and saw that Elizabeth was selling the exact same dress. I was so happy. She made all the efforts necessary to make the dress perfectly fit my body shape by doing alterations to the length, front, under arms and even change the back of the dress so that I could wear a bra. I was having trouble finding a bridal shop that stocked the specific Rembo Styling dress that I wanted for my wedding. Liz managed to order it for me to try at her beautiful private studio and after meeting her I had no doubt that she was going to do a fantastic job altering the dress. I found the wedding dress of my dreams - a vintage 70s dress with a lovely lace train, but sadly it didn't quite fit. Liz was great, made all the alterations as well as some changes to the sleeves and back of the dress that made it entirely unique and more beautiful. She was very accommodating and prompt. Liz was so lovely and professional. I had picked my dress 2 years ago from another bridal shop but unfortunately we ended up postponing our wedding due to Covid. I’d been to many wedding dress shops and had tried on so many wedding dresses that I lost count! I had tried many stunning dresses (and the occasional few awful! ) but I wasn’t quite finding ‘the one’ – many wedding dresses felt like costumes, and as someone who works in the theatre, I wanted to look like me on my wedding day. My sister wore a Marylise dress for her wedding and she suggested looking for stockists that supply Marylise dresses, which is how I found Elizabeth Ayers Bridal in Stratford-upon-Avon. There was a lovely, calm atmosphere in Liz’s studio and I got to try on some beautiful Marylise and Rembo dresses. The quality of those dresses are amazing! They’re wonderful for a bride who wants a relaxed look on their wedding day as opposed to looking too over-the-top, princess-y or showy. Also they are so comfortable! I found my dress – a gorgeous, romantic-looking Marylise dress called ‘Full of Love’. Liz was very supportive during the process, as my mum and sister live in Ireland and they couldn’t be there for every bridal shop I went to, so she was very understanding when I was keen to show them the dress on the webcam, needing that reassurance from my entourage. She also went the extra mile to do my alterations close together to avoid multiple journeys to and from Stratford-upon-Avon from Devon. I met Elizabeth for the first time when I bought my wedding dress. She is really listening to your desires and she is giving you good advises. She is able to customize your dress as you want and she really has amazing skills. You can absolutely trust her to have the dress you want. She was able to change the back of my dress from a U-shape to a V-shape. She didn't have the same lace but she did an awesome job and you couldn't see the difference. I couldn't be happier. More...

Aboslutly delighted with Elizabeth.. And I highly recommend. I chose my dress with my nan and mum in january 2018... My wedding was in May 2019. . Between that time I fell pregnant and the dress was ordered and arrived. Elizabeth kept it safe for us and saw me in December after my baby was born. I saw Elizabeth 5 times for regular fittings whilst I was loosing my ba y weight.... She even saw me two days before my wedding to make sir eit was a perfect fit!! She showed my mum exactly what to do with the back and the little trick to make sure nothing was hanging out the back (I really didn't want back fat)... Elizabeth was so accommodating when we bought my new born and also my 4 year old... She even let him "help" by passing pins so he felt involved with his mums princess dress. My dress had also been drastically altered... Originally I was having sleeves and last minuet I changed my mind as my uild had changed... And Elizabeth made my dress my dream which my nan would have loved to see (sadly she passed away not long before my wedding)... I needed to get some rather last minute alterations done to my wedding dress and Elizabeth was able to fit me in the next day to see her. I found her website very easily on google. She was very friendly and made me feel completely at ease, putting my mind at rest after I’d been worrying about what could be done with my dress. I left happy with the changes we were going to make and when I went back to pick it up I was beyond happy with the results. I would 100% recommend to anybody as the service was fantastic. I was recommended to Liz by a friend who’d had a bespoke dress made for her daughters’ wedding. I came to Liz full of ideas for an elegant full length dress and Liz was brilliant, took all my ideas, and sketched me a dress which looked perfect. We agreed to meet up again in the next few weeks during which time I’d go and try on a few dresses for inspiration. After trying some wedding dresses on I was left disheartened to the point that I couldn’t contemplate walking up an aisle in front of family to marry my fiancé as the dresses looked awful on me – seemingly made to fit the tall and willowy women, I’m barely 5” and not at all willowy. I did some further research as to what would suit me and came up with another idea – booked to see Liz and she couldn’t have been more lovely about completely redesigning the dress… and got really excited when I decided on red instead of the traditional white or ivory. Fast forward my first fitting… it went brilliantly, the calico bodice fit so well and just as we’d designed. Liz made the necessary alterations and although I went away confident Liz was doing exactly what I wanted there was nagging doubts about the design. I mithered about it all over the weekend and on the Monday emailed Liz with my worries. Liz couldn’t have been more accommodating, considering my changes were adding sleeves, changing the neckline and colour, I was so impressed and comforted by her patience, her ability to change the design again and her kindness. Next fitting the calico was changed and a rough version of the skirt was ready and it was fabulous!!! Even in its raw state Liz had captured exactly what I was hoping for. The next fitting the dress was almost complete and we discussed finer details and again, with the changes I requested were accommodated with patience and skill… because some of the ideas I had Liz knew instinctively what would work and what wouldn’t and she wasn’t wrong! At the final fitting we added final touches and had the bridesmaid dresses (Ted Baker shift dresses) pinned so that the alterations to them could be made. Then the day arrived to pick up the dresses and oh my goodness, the finished dress is simply beautiful! More beautiful and more perfect than I could have ever imagined. It is exactly what I wanted and more! The workmanship that Liz has put into my dress is amazing! The quality of the stitching, the cut of the silk, the styling so that it shows my figure off in the best possible way – it is phenomenal! I went to Liz for a wedding dress but I was really expecting a miracle not just to make me a wedding gown but also because I was struggling with the whole concept of being a bride again – how could I look and feel like a beautiful bride at my time of life (50), well in my opinion Liz performed that miracle… she not only designed me a dress that has made me look beautiful she has made me believe I can be a beautiful bride! It’s not just the dress – it was the whole experience from start to finish. Elizabeth works in conjunction with a bridal supplier and my first appointment with her was at the suppliers to choose a dress. Her knowledge and help were invaluable - she was honest about what suited me best and enabled me to see clearly what design of dress to choose. Once my dress was delivered I visited the studio at her home and once again her attention to detail meant that I came away happy that the minor changes that needed to be made to my dress would be carried out with care and attention. My second (and final) visit to the studio was just a few days before my wedding and my dress was perfect. I received many compliments about my dress on our wedding day. After buying my wedding dress from Liz at the wedding barn she was going to complete the alterations I needed for the length. Shortly after buying my dress I found out I was pregnant, we got married once our little boy arrived (he was only 12 weeks old at the wedding), and I unfortunately was not able to get back to my pre-baby size.
Liz altered my wedding dress for me, she changed the back from a zip to a beautiful corset style back, she made me feel so at ease throughout it all.
I am still in absolute love with my dress and I wouldn’t have been able to wear it without the fantastic work that Liz did on the dress.

All i can say is incredible. I have had 2 you children and haven't felt comfortable in dresses since my eldest was born. My Grandaughter is going to be a bridesmaid and the dress was purchased on line. Needless to say it was not quite right. We found this web site on the Internet, rang, booked appointment for alterations . We did say after we left this woman did not appear to be a people person. I had to ring last week to see if it was ready. It took a few seconds then she realised who I was! She advised the dress was not ready! We agreed appointment for today at 1:30. We collected the dress today. On arrival she said she had forgotten about us! My Grandaughter felt very uncomfortable and rushed whilst trying on her dress. I actually had to say put on your shoes! Whilst the woman hovered round her. She took the cash and was very eager to get us out of the door. Not a people person at all. Certainly not professional. No receipt! Possibly my fault I should have asked for one. More...
