What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Discussions with the client, possible running through my portfolio with them, to understand what they are looking for and what styles they do/don't like.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Basic questions of the who, where, when etc.
Then as with the previous question, a chat about what they do/don't like, and a chance to go through my portfolio and pick up their comments - it all helps me understand what they want.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing customers delight in the results - it's all about them, not me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
To be honest, back in the 1980s, it was simply a way of earning a living. Probably a better question would be why am I still doing it, and that's because I love the work and can't think of anything I'd rather be doing
