Emma was fantastic throughout the whole process, and a life saver after our wedding DJ dropped out. We had a chat beforehand on the structure of the day and music preference, and she contacted the venue to arrange where to set up etc, so we didn’t have to worry about it. She even slipped in and set up after our lunch was finished without us even realising she was there! The music was spot on and all our guests loved the set list she put together. I was very nervous about booking a DJ for our wedding, as the last thing my husband and I wanted was cheesy wedding tunes to kill the vibe. As soon as I spoke to DJ Barroness, I was instantly reassured - we both grew up in the 90s house dance scene and I knew she understood the kind of party we were looking for. I found Emma (DJ Barroness) to be super-responsive, easy and fun to collaborate with, and down-to-earth and flexible. She included all of the top 15 tunes we'd shared in advance, but also responded brilliantly in the moment to keep the dance-floor pumping. Everything from 70-90s classics, house, funk, disco, indie, and a bit of drum n bass was played, and our friends remarked not just on how great the music was, but also how friendly Emma was. Emma played at our engagement party, and she was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Once we booked her, she was super responsive and we were perfectly aligned in terms of music tastes across the decades, and how we wanted our party to run. Emma had great reviews and this is another one. She responded to my 'Bark' in an easy going, no pressure way which was much appreciated and differentiated her from others. We had a call prior to the event so that Emma could understand the finer points of our evening and what we wanted - music for a varied bunch from the 80s/90s and early 00s that was good for dancing. On the night, Emma arrived with plenty of time and did not intrude at all when setting up or dismantling - absolutely professional. The music she'd selected and put together was perfect and she was able to accommodate variations in the evening perfectly with no one knowing (food arrived a little late so there was a little break from dancing music). She kept our guests dancing and modified the music in real-time to keep everyone moving. I wholeheartedly recommend Emma. DJ Barroness was brilliant - we found her last minute, she was flexible, interested in the different music tastes of the two of us hosting the party and managed to get a good mix of both - broadly, me wanting a more house vibe and my friend wanting a more RnB sound - got everyone dancing, brought great kit and a great vibe, if I ever have a need for a DJ again in my life no question I will be using Emma again.
