I have to admit, I don't do my weekly shop here as it would become quite expensive, however I look at this store as a convenience store. I absolutely LOVE Dikes. It has things that you wouldn't get even in the great big supermarkets. If there's ever a recipe I am following which has an ingredient which is rather unheard of, guaranteed that Dikes will have it. And the staff are the best! Hats off to whoever does recruitment because they are a fantastic judge of character... all of your staff are super friendly, very helpful and seem really happy to be working there. The wedding that no one will ever forget -
There is only one word to describe this team aka dikes kitchen (dike and son) fantastic! Over a year ago we were searching for our wedding caterers, a daunting task among many others when planning a wedding... Upon meeting Adam and Andy (takes a bit to get there names the right way around) we were instantly put at ease and felt so welcomed and comfortable! Not only do they come up with some fab ideas there approachable and open to some different options, nothing is too much trouble! With many fun filled meetings and conversations throughout our journey we cannot commend their efforts enough. We had fun setting up for the day, Deliveries of canapés, glass
Hire, a great service for our wedding buffet, lovely puddings supplied from Hayley, even eggs pickled for us for the day... Including bar service through to the early hours plus so so much more. Wonderful shop, and a pleasure to support 140 local businesses. Produce is first rate, and full of flavour... and it saved us £60 on our regular Tesco shop which always falls short of the mark where quality and taste is concerned. Just wanted to say how lovely the lobsters were you sourced and ordered in for us today. They were much bigger and tastier then previous high st supermarket ones we have had, full of meat and beautifully prepped for us so all we had to do was add the sauce. We found Dike & Son whilst visiting Stalbridge, on a Sunday afternoon whilst our son was playing football.
And what a great supermarket. Lots of different things from busy old Poole

Fantastic! What a local supermarket should be! My father says it reminds him of Partiridges - a very exclusive shop in Sloane Street in London. Dikes is better of course!
The cafe is also great with reasonably priced food and great coffee.
The staff are always efficient, friendly and helpful.
I'm really glad I live close enough to pop in whenever I need a Dikes fix! More...

Wow wow wow.
I came for a drive out with my partner.
He had a job to do on one of your freezers.
So i sat in your cafe with my little girl who is almost 9 months old.
From the second I went into the cafe I was helped by one of the ladies as I needed to change my little girls nappy. Nothing was too much.
I then walked around your store, which is beautiful, before setting down for a coffee and a breakfast.
Absolutely beautiful.
Service was amazing, coffee was lovely and it had just a stunning welcoming feeling.

We visited the café for lunch recently, having first got our order wrong (which I noticed on the receipt), we then waited over 45 minutes for our food. Only being done when my husband enquired where it was. Not impressed and not going back.
