Where to start?
We began our search for a website developer with a few basic quotes. We weren’t sure what we could afford, and certainly didn’t expect a custom site to be cheap.
Then by chance, we sold a property to a lovely gentleman who worked for a local web design company. He was friendly, switched-on, and gave a good impression — so when he recommended the company he worked for, we trusted him and got in touch.
That’s when we met Reese, the owner. And at first? It all sounded great. We agreed on the key features, discussed a few extras we hadn’t even considered, and were given a six-to-eight-week timeframe. We agreed to pay 40% upfront and the rest on completion — simple, fair, and clear. Or so we thought.
The homepage — designed by the same gentleman who introduced us — looked fantastic. We were genuinely excited. This felt like the real deal. Reese could see that, and asked us to post a glowing review to help him win a new client and he would creidt our account by £500 (Which, every time we've tried to use it, has been rejected — with them claiming it can't be used for that service or product). I agreed, but wasn’t sure what to write — so he wrote it for me, sent it over, and asked me to post it in my name. I did, because at that point we were still optimistic. Then a flood of similar reviews started appearing online. It quickly became obvious this wasn’t about feedback — it was a reputation clean-up job, burying the truth under a pile of scripted five-star nonsense.
That’s when things started to fall apart.
Out of nowhere, I was chased for the final 60% payment — despite the website not even being close to finished. When I reminded them of our agreement, I was told that 'completion' meant the homepage. Complete nonsense — and they knew it. But the pressure didn’t stop. Messages. Calls. Aggressive follow-ups from multiple staff. Then Reese himself messaged me offering a discount if I paid by Friday. Like it was some sort of Black Friday sale. It was unprofessional, desperate, and set alarm bells ringing.
To try and calm it down, I agreed to pay in four instalments. When I missed one — due to cash flow — I got another guilt-trip message from Reese himself. His exact words: "Don’t say it 100% if it’s not — you can’t let people down like that." The irony was staggering, considering what followed.
Shortly after, I was slapped with a brand-new charge — nearly £1,000 for so-called hosting. On a website that wasn’t even live. Just a homepage on a development server. When I asked what the charge was for, the answer was, and I quote: "Well, we’ve got staff to pay." Not a service. Not a feature. Just an excuse to extract more money.
When I pushed back, I got a call from Dan in accounts, joking about how good he was at getting payments out of people and how he always gets his money. A professional business? Hardly. A few days later, I got an email saying that if I didn’t pay, my site launch would be pushed back by another 10 weeks.
So by now, we’d hit the six-to-eight-week mark — the point when the site should’ve been finished. All we had was a homepage. No working website. No pages. No property listings. No registration. No booking. No launch. Just more excuses. More lies. More staff apparently off sick, on leave, or no longer working there. You couldn’t make it up.
We pushed again and agreed to go live in January. We even advertised it. But a few days into the new year, they emailed to say it wouldn’t be happening. I quoted Reese’s own words back to him — "Don’t say it 100% if it’s not — you can’t let people down like that." — but they were ignored, like everything else.
We pushed again. A new date for February was agreed. Surprise — nothing happened. And now here we are, in May, and we still have no website.
We’ve told them repeatedly that this is causing real, measurable harm to our business — not just financially, but in terms of visibility, credibility, and growth. But they don’t care. No acknowledgment. No effort. No accountability from Dash — because they’ve already been paid. In full. And more.
And when we raised it? We got the same tired line: "We totally understand where you're coming from." But nothing changed. One staff member even said they were taking time out of their day to work on our site — like I should feel lucky they could squeeze me in between holidays.
It’s now been nearly a year. In that time, every excuse imaginable has been thrown at us. Staff illness. Staff leaving. Third parties. Holidays. Delays. Confusion. Contradictions. Copy-paste content from our old website. One form took six weeks to build.
Eventually, Reese promised to set a final deadline and even offered £100 per day if it overran. That was weeks ago. No date was set. No follow-up. No action.
Because that's the pattern.
This company is not built on pride, service, or integrity. It’s built on manipulation, empty promises, and a relentless obsession with getting paid — long before they’ve delivered a single meaningful result.
Dash are more interested in chasing payments than they are in doing the job they’re paid for. They lie, they mislead, they make promises they never intend to keep — and they expect you to be grateful for it.
