Hi, I’m Dan Chamberlain, a personal trainer and online coach with nearly 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. Alongside my work as a trainer, I’ve also been a swimming coach for even longer, giving me a broad and well-rounded background in movement, performance, and conditioning.

I didn’t know what I needed to look for in a PT, I just knew I needed some help in how to approach strength training, now that I was older and hadn’t been inside a gym for many years (and was bit intimidated by the whole thing). So I consider myself very lucky that Dan was quick to reply to my enquiry. Most importantly Dan listened to what I wanted to achieve, how I’m motivated and what I was able to commit to. I’ve worked with Dan for 2 years now and whilst he quickly gave me the confidence to return to the gym and know what to do on my own, I have also kept up the regular training sessions with him in person. Apart from the accountability this gives, his sessions are always well-prepared, have lots of variety and gives me the chance to ask questions about technique. Dan is really easy to get on with, very professional and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking for help in achieving their fitness goals. More...

I wanted to strengthen up after not doing much exercise for a very long time. Not wanting to go to a gym environment on my own. Dan gently listens and encourages to what you want to achieve. Varies the training each time and explains well, very patient. He is also helpful with useful apps and other tips to keep you on your path to your goal. More...

I was previously a member of chain gym (which I rarely used) until I came across this place. I have no doubt that I made the right choice with Bridge Fitness. It has all the equipment I need and a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The staff are always happy to help and offer advice. They've given me the confidence to try new exercises and try different pieces of equipment to really progress my training. If you are looking for a gym then I highly recommend this one. More...

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I try and provide my clients with as much support as possible, so whether it's training once, twice or even three times a week with me, I provide all of my clients with the same support. With full pdf nutritional downloads created by myself, body mapping to track progress, and possibly the most important of all, the emotional support. It quite often gets overlooked in our industry, but the mental side aspect of making those changes or achieving those goals are as important if not more important than the physical. So I work with my clients in all these aspects to help them get to where they want to be.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
I guess the one thing over everything else is consistency! Whether with the exercises, nutrition or of course ideally both, it's about being able to maintain a good consistent week in week out overall balanced lifestyle. Not extreme diets or extreme training! Yes of course it involves some hard work, but if your looking to get and maintain the 'Body of your Dreams' then consistency is the key!
What do you love most about your job?
Of course helping someone to get a bit fitter or loose those pounds always puts a smile on your face when you've helped someone achieve their goal. But for me when you have someone with a specific problem they need help with, whether that might be knee problem from poor hip alignment or lower back pain from week gluts etc.., it's always a great feeling knowing that you've played a part in helping to rectify that problem, and improve not only their fitness but also their day to day life!.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Well I suppose in short, being in control of my own future.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm a well experienced trainer and also being in my late 30's not only is that extra experience an invaluable tool in the sense of knowing how to get the best out of you. Also every single person has a slightly different set of goals, and as a trainer it's always important to be able to connect with a client to fully understand the many different reasons behind not only the goals they want to achieve but also the reasons for deciding to work towards those goals in the first place. I also think which is important and always encourage potential clients to do, is to have the opportunity to sit down with me for a short face to face chat to be able to discuss all aspects in more detail. Also though from a potential clients point of view it's important for them to look round the studio, have the chance to ask any questions and just meet me in person, and not feel they have to commit to training sessions until they've at least have the opportunity to have all the facts.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Very much in the same way as anyone wanting to train on a 1 to 1 basis with me, we'll have that initial contact on the phone to discuss what it is you're hoping to get out of training sessions, how i can help you achieve those goals, and whether online training is going to be right and work for you. Online training is of course different to in person training ,and isn't right for everyone, but in the same way as 1 to 1 training it's tailored training for each individual.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As a result of the pandemic i have shifted my focus away from a semi private studio to training the majority of my clients from my own private setup. This means i have complete control of the training environment to ensure its a totally covid safe environment, and i always wear a face mask when training clients. I have worn a face mask throughout this pandemic and will continue to do so, which is certainly not something you'll find from the majority of trainers!.
Why should you choose me as your trainer?
With over 15 years of experience and thousands of hours of one-to-one training, I’ve developed a broad and varied understanding of how to train people as individuals.
That experience allows me to tailor training to each person’s needs, goals, and lifestyle, focusing on what’s right and sustainable for them. I believe in helping clients achieve long-term results through maintainable training and realistic nutrition, never extreme diets or unrealistic programmes.
I look forward to working with you.
Dan
FREE CONSULTATION
A free consultation gives us the chance to fully discuss your goals, the type of training you’re looking for, and any support you may need on the nutrition side.
It’s also an opportunity for us to meet face to face, so you can learn more about me, my training methods, and what I offer.
The consultation is just as much for you as it is for me — it allows you to ask questions and make an informed decision before committing to any future training sessions.
1:1 TRAINING SESSIONS
The first step is arranging a call so we can talk through what you’re looking to achieve, how I can help, and whether my coaching is the right fit for you. This gives us both the chance to understand your goals and expectations before moving forward.
If, after our call, you feel you’d like to work with me, we’ll then arrange a trial session.
During the trial session, we’ll go through a range of exercises suited to your ability, needs, and goals. We’ll also talk in more detail about any guidance you’d like on the nutrition side of things. This session allows me to assess how you move, identify any injuries or limitations we need to work around, and highlight specific exercises that may help with rehabilitation or long-term progress.
Most people who come to me are looking to improve their overall fitness and, most commonly, reduce body fat. If this is one of your goals, there are two things I always make clear from the start: commitment and consistency.
Real results don’t happen after two or three sessions — they’re built over time, often across several months. If you’re prepared to be consistent with your training and nutrition, we can take that first step toward achieving your goal together.
For anyone looking to make long-term, sustainable changes, I ask for a minimum commitment of three months so we have the time needed to create meaningful, lasting progress.
ONLINE TRAINING
In the same way as one-to-one training, the first step with online coaching is an initial phone call. This gives us the chance to discuss what you’re hoping to get out of your training, how I can help you achieve your goals, and whether online coaching is the right fit for you.
Online training is, of course, different from in-person sessions and isn’t right for everyone. However, just like my one-to-one coaching, it’s fully tailored to the individual — with training designed around your goals, ability, lifestyle, and experience.
This approach ensures you’re following a structured, personalised programme that supports long-term, sustainable progress, wherever you’re training from.
