Q&As

Most garages are suitable for conversion, and we are usually able to find multiple solutions for how each garage can be converted through an initial in-person assessment followed by the design phase which will look at different layouts that achieve the functional requirements you have.

Garage conversion projects will require a certain amount of professional services upfront - typically this will involve a design phase to create the necessary drawings to satisfy the requirements of a planning application (where applicable), together with drawings that provide the necessary level of construction detail and specifications to satisfy the Building Regulations.

In our view, most lofts are suitable for conversion, however, we will usually be able to provide early feedback following our initial site visit to advise you on the cost effectiveness of carrying our such a project and what options you might have.

Similar to most building projects, a loft conversion will require a certain amount of professional services and design upfront to ensure we can produce designs that our client is happy with, and to create the necessary drawings to satisfy the requirements of a planning application (where applicable), together with drawings that provide the necessary level of construction detail and specifications to satisfy the Building Regulations.
Following completion of the design/planning/Building Regs phases (as applicable) and agreement on the project, the building works can usually commence. Depending on the scope of the loft conversion, typically we would start with any preliminary and enabling works to prepare the site ready for the main building works to commence. We would look to carry out any structural work and roof structure alterations at first so that we can form the new roof/loft structure. We would also usually construct a new timber floor for the loft which would sit over the existing ceiling joists so as to not apply any additional loads to the existing structure.
Once the structure is formed we would look to ensure the loft is permanently weathered, which usually involves a certain amount of roofing work to the new and existing roof structure, together with fitting of any new windows, doors and rooflights.
With everything weathered the internal partitioning, insulating and 1st fixing of services such as electrical, heating & plumbing can be carried out, followed by plasterboarding and plastering.
The final phase of the build will typically see all 2nd fix works carried out, such as fitting of flooring, skirting boards, architraves and doors, fitting of bathroom suites, switches & sockets and radiators, alongside painting & decorating to complete the building works ready for occupation.

As with most of our services, we start the interior design process with an initial consultation phase that allows us to better understand the design requirements and objectives. We have various deliverables that we can use to produce interior designs, from simple 2D plans and elevations, mood boards and product shopping lists, through to 3D modelling and renders to really help bring interior spaces to life. We always tailor our services to the needs of our clients and projects, and the process itself will also be tailored to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.

We cater for all interior design styles and always ensure that we understand our client's vision early in the process to make sure we are fully aligned from the outset of an interior design project.

We are now in our 6th year of business and pride ourselves on being a high-quality, reliable, responsible and trustworthy company that always strives to deliver what we have agreed with our clients.

The guarantees that we provide for the work vary in length for each element of the work and these guarantees usually sit alongside the product guarantees/warranties provided on the materials/equipment installed on our projects.

We love collaborating with clients and seeing our shared vision become reality. Being able to design something and then getting to take care of the rest of process, turning designs into a tangible reality through a build process, is really satisfying. We pride ourselves on being creative and resourceful, working closely with our clients to meet each of their individual requirements.

We spotted a gap in the market and felt that small-scale construction projects could benefit from the significant value add that a design & build approach can achieve on larger-scale projects.

We believe we are the best at what we do locally and we strive to set the highest standards of service and reputation through the relationships we create and build with our clients and suppliers. We use each project and all experience and feedback we receive as an opportunity to improve the service we provide. We're trying to improve the perception of the building industry one project at a time.

We can usually provide all professional services remotely, and we would be happy to discuss options for how this can be managed during our initial engagement. Naturally, building services will always require a physical presence.

We follow all government guidelines to ensure all people involved in the process - from customer to suppliers and our workforce - stay safe and protected.
