Came across CR Clearance & Removals on Google and saw they had some really good reviews so I contacted them for a quote. Ben came straight down to me within 30min to price the job up. Offered me a very reasonable quote which I accepted and he cleared the rubbish there and then. Arrived in a professional removal vehicle with another colleague and got stuck straight in. Even took payment by bank transfer as I didn’t have any cash on me. No drama, no fuss and no attempt to try and rip me off. It’s hard to find good tradesmen these days so I highly recommend. What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about working in house clearance is helping people through important and often emotional transitions. Whether someone is downsizing, clearing out a loved one’s home, or preparing for a fresh start, we’re there to take the stress off their shoulders.
Every job is different — some are quick and simple, others require compassion and care — but the satisfaction comes from knowing we’re making someone’s life a little easier. I also enjoy the variety: meeting new people, solving problems, and giving unwanted items a second life through recycling or donation.
At the end of the day, it’s rewarding to turn a cluttered or overwhelming space into a clean, usable one.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own house clearance business after seeing how much people struggle with clearing homes during major life changes — whether it’s moving, downsizing, or dealing with a bereavement. I realized there was a real need for a service that was not only efficient, but also respectful, trustworthy, and understanding.
After years of hands-on experience, I saw an opportunity to do things differently — to offer a service that treats every job with care and professionalism, no matter the size. I wanted to build a business that people could rely on during what can often be a stressful or emotional time.
Starting my own business gave me the freedom to create something personal and meaningful — and to take pride in helping others while building strong relationships in the community.
