I hired Constantin to do structural calculations for my home extension project. In dealing with him I found he tends to offer more problems than solutions. My neighbour had a small tree around 10m from my house. Constantin was adamant we would need to have piling done due to the location of the tree. He was unwilling to consider any alternative solutions. This would have proven very costly and eaten up a big chunk of our budget. My builder didn't think we needed piling if we just dug deeper foundations, and suggested to get a second opinion. I got another engineer in, who concurred with the builder.
