Dodgy Practices – Be Aware of Hidden Charges
I recently had an unpleasant experience with Marcus and his service. While the initial interaction seemed professional, I quickly realized things were not as transparent as they appeared.
Be aware of hidden or unexpected charges that aren’t clearly communicated upfront. I felt misled, and the level of service provided was far below what was promised. It felt like a deliberate attempt to overcharge, taking advantage of trust.
I wouldn’t recommend this service unless you’re prepared to deal with unclear costs and questionable practices. Proceed with caution!

If your looking for a new boiler we are here to help, we have a range of boilers to suit all requirements. In order to choose the correct boiler for you home we need to ask a few questions as this will depend on things like your gas connection, the size of your property, how much space you have, how efficient you want your boiler to be.
Boiler Repairs
For this service one of our engineers will analyse the problem that exists with your boiler and give you a quote to repair this.
If you are happy to proceed with the quote then our engineer will start the repairs and fix the problem. If you decide not to go ahead with the repairs you will only be charged the call out charge.
The repairs will only cover what our engineer has quoted, any unrelated problems that may exist will be pointed out and separate quotes will be provided for these.
Boiler Servicing
To keep you and your family protected throughout the year we offer annual boiler servicing to ensure your boiler and boiler system are all operating safely and correctly all year round.
Although not required by law (exceptions do apply to landlords) you do not have to get your boiler serviced yearly although it is highly recommended.
It is recommended that boilers are serviced once a year to ensure that they are running safely and efficiently. If you can not recall the last time you serviced your boiler then it has likely been too long so we suggest you book a boiler service today to make sure your boiler is operating safely.
Landlord Certificates ( CP12 )
We provide landlord certificates to ensure all their gas appliances are operating safely for their tenants.
Cooker Installations
If you need a hand to install your new gas cooker our engineers are available to assist with this.

Powerflushes
At CKT Boilers one of our experienced engineers can perform a Powerflush on your system to remove any dirt, sludge, rust or debris which may have accumulated in your system.
We use a specialized machine that distributes a chemical through your radiators, pipes and boiler at a high pressure. This cleanses your system allowing for the water to flow freely through your system.
If substances are left in your heating system, they could potentially cause blockages or corrosion which in turn will affect the performance of your boiler and it could also lead to a breakdown.
If you’re getting a new boiler installed, the building regulations recommend that a suitable cleanse is carried out prior to the installation. This helps to prevent your new system from being contaminated and inhibited by the sludge and debris that were present in your old system.
There are a number of signs that could help you determine whether your system needs a Powerflush. These include:
Cold spots on your radiators, particularly at the bottom
The radiators require constant bleeding
Noisy radiators and boiler
Radiator leaks
Frequent breakdowns
Boiler constantly needs to be restarted
Central heating takes a long time to heat up
