Piano Lessons
As an adult learning piano I wasn't sure what to expect from remote lessons, but they've been fantastic. Charles has been a great teacher.
I've been learning piano with him for a few months now and feel like I've made great progress. The lessons are well tailored to my tastes, learning style and ability rather than being a set program.
It's not all tuition, Charles is full of knowledge and good to chat to about all aspects of pianos and music. Finally he's been flexible when I've needed to move lessons because of other commitments.

As an adult beginner it can be a bit daunting but Charles uses just the right balance of detail, pointers and praise to ensure that you feel like you have improved each week. Charles has been teaching me for a little longer than 3 years now, and I can honestly say that my technical abilities have improved exponentially since I first started with him. His teaching method is extremely efficient. Whilst learning to play the piano from Charles, I realised that he does not only focus on the mechanical rigor behind the music, but he will also focus on the dynamics of the piece- elevating the music from a one dimensional script of notes to a rich higher dimensional musical tapestry. It is nerve wracking, developing a totally new skill, in front of an expert, but Charles has always tried to put me at ease. He teaches music that interests me, whilst also expanding my technique with a range of appropriate music.
