The ability to sing freely, whether as a hobby or professionally, helps build confidence, boosts both physically and mentally, and can bring a great deal of joy to both the singer and their audience. If you’re keen to refine your singing skills or learn to perform confidently in front of an audience, Central Song Studio can help you reach your goals and more!

As a teacher, I aim to inspire and guide my pupils to unlock their true singing voice. I teach all ages and abilities and will cater to your specific needs and ambitions. I specialise in developing a safe and healthy vocal technique that can be applied to all genres of music. This helps ensure maximum enjoyment and vocal longevity and leads to a great sense of achievement while also sparking confidence in your abilities. Through our sessions, you will gain a good understanding of musical structure of song and explore other important aspects such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics and expression.

As well as offering singing lessons, I also trained in teaching Kodaly musicianship, which develops musical skills and concepts through song, game playing and musical symbols. This is a method ideally taught from a very young age as it provides a good grounding and an excellent foundation for musicianship. I can also tutor in music theory and musicianship to advanced levels (including aural skills).

While learning music in any form helps in developing personality, cognition, and is an enjoyable experience, singing in particular develops one’s overall wellbeing as it provides an outlet for expression and emotions. Whatever your goals are, you can rely on my guidance and direction while ensuring you have fun as you learn.
