We had a fantastic shoot back in December & have now received our artwork - it is INCREDIBLE!
First of all, the whole process of arranging the photoshoot, location & date, was so easy!
Terri is so lovely to talk to & really helps with making you understand how it’s all going to work.
We settled on a beach location in Blackpool, which was the perfect choice for my Buster. He can be slightly nervous in new places, with new people, but Cat was an expert in dog whispering & quickly won him round - he was at ease for the rest of the shoot.
We were very lucky with the weather, being December it was chilly but the sun came out & it was lovely. It was also very unique that we had some frost & snow on the beach! This made for some stunning photos. Cat caught some amazing moments & they all came together to create the perfect wall art of my boy. Cat made it so easy to get Buster in to the positions, as I was on my own, but Cat knew exactly what she was doing, even helping to shield Buster when an off lead dog ran over!
Once the shoot was done, we were able to explore the area whilst Cat went back to edit some of the pictures for our design appointment. We met them back at the studio later in the day, it was such a relaxing experience. A nice warm drink, biscuits & sitting down to see the gorgeous images that were captured.
100% recommend the team at Cats Dog Photography for your photoshoot needs! It was totally worth the eight hour round-trip! ❤️

I had followed cat on social media for a while before we had our shoot, I was drawn to her photos, they weren’t what I would call typical dog photos. I was super happy when cat popped into out messages saying she loved our spotty dog (Caesar) and would we be interested in being part of her scarf project … and so our adventure began. The whole process was easy, I was asked what I liked, any ideas I had, where I’d like the shoot etc and everything was arranged. We turned up (beacon fell) and had loads of fun. A couple of days later we went to the studio (with the boys) and picked our photos. It was hard to choose only a few so we went for a digital package and got a load. We love them, they are proudly displayed at home and get lots of people admiring them. More...

I’ve followed Cat on social media for some time and when I saw she was looking for Dog models for her Scarf project I entered my Labrador Lucy.
Fast forward a few weeks and I received a call from a number in Preston. I instantly knew who this was going to be and the excitement began to build. When I answered the call I was greeted by the very friendly voice of Terri, Cat’s personal assistant who informed me that Lucy had been chosen to be part of the Scarf Project. Terri’s enthusiasm combined with my own excitement made for a wonderful call where we chatted about Lucy (which i love to do). Terri was very informative and explained how the session would work and asked lots of questions about Lucy’s likes & dislikes so that Cat could plan the perfect session for her.
A few days later Terri got in touch to inform me that Cat was planning a trip to Edinburgh and asked if I would like to have Lucy’s shoot there. This could not have worked out better for us since we live up in the North East of Scotland.
Fast forward to the day of Lucy’s shoot. Cat was so great with Lucy and made her feel so at ease, she can be nervous of people she doesn’t know but they had her eating out the palm of their hand in no time (literally 😂).
Watching Cat at work was a joy, she is so talented and know how to get the best photos of our fur babies - her passion and enthusiasm shines through!
The photos cat captured of Lucy are stunning and I can’t wait to have them pride of place in my living room. I can’t recommend Cat’s Dog Photography enough, quality from start to finish!

I came across Cat on a TikTok reel showcasing one of her adventure shoots - the photos were incredible, the BTS footage looked like so much fun.
.. I just knew I had to apply for a shoot with her!
When I applied, all I knew was that I wanted adventure pictures. I had absolutely nothing else thought out or planned - and Cat did all that for me. She picked the perfect location, she worked with whatever props and clothing we wanted, and helped guide us through how to get the perfect poses for the perfect shot (as well as capturing the candid ones). Cat really is an absolute dream to work with... so much so we've been back to visit her a second time already (and will definitely be planning more)!
All of the pictures from the shoots came out incredible which means I really struggle to choose a favourite - they're all so amazing and perfect in their own way. Obviously the most iconic one is of Arashi waving is his blue rexspecs, with they blue scarf floating around him though!
Every single person who see's our photos can't get over how amazing they are - they're cool, they're unique, and they're so us!

What do you love most about your job?
What I love most? It’s capturing the soul of a dog—their quirks, their joy, their bond with their humans—and turning that into artwork that makes people smile (or cry happy tears) every time they walk past it.
Every dog has a story, and I get to tell it through my lens. Whether it's a rescue pup finding confidence or a senior dog enjoying their golden years, being part of those moments is an absolute privilege.
From muddy paws to windswept mountaintops, I create joyful, soulful portraits that celebrate the bond you share with your dog. This isn’t just about photos – it’s about creating something truly special that makes your heart skip every time you see it. ?
What inspired you to start your own business?
Honestly, it all started with my own dog. I just wanted to capture the way she made me feel — the love, the connection, the little looks that said everything without a word. That passion quickly turned into an obsession (the healthy kind!), and before I knew it, I was photographing other people’s dogs too.
Starting CatsDog Photography wasn’t really a grand plan — it just kind of grew, naturally and organically, from doing what I love. I realised there weren’t many people treating dog photography with the same level of creativity and heart as you’d find in other art forms… and I wanted to change that.
I didn’t just want to take cute pictures of dogs (though I do love those too). I wanted to build a business that made people feel something. Something meaningful, lasting, and full of joy.
Why should our clients choose you?
Because this isn’t just a photoshoot — it’s an experience that celebrates your dog and the bond you share. I take the time to really understand each dog, their quirks, their personality, and what makes them them. That way, we’re not just creating beautiful images — we’re capturing something real and full of heart.
With over 12 years’ experience, international awards under my belt, and shoots that have taken me from UK mountains to Bali’s backstreets, I bring both expertise and soul to what I do. But more than anything, I genuinely care. I care about your dog’s comfort, your story, and making sure you walk away with artwork that means the world to you.
If you’re looking for something more than just a pretty picture — something personal, joyful, and a little bit magical — you’re in the right place. ?
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
All my sessions are in person either out on location somewhere epic or in my Preston based studio, capturing those special moments. When it comes to selecting your artwork, I make it easy for you to do that remotely via a Zoom call where I will virtually join you from my studio. It’s such a special part of the process — choosing the perfect piece to display at home — and many clients tell me it’s one of their favourite parts of the experience.
