Job : fixing one loose roof tile
Although I received a very rapid response & Callum was pleasant & willing to help & get the job done for us asap, the price varied from £40 - £300.
I was not offered a written estimate & I was at fault for not asking for one. The job was completed the next day in 10 minutes & the cost was £300. I was then informed all the ridge tiles needing replacing urgently & the cost would be £1600 & could be done the next day! I initially agreed but I was not given a written estimate so decided to get quotes elsewhere before agreeing any further work could be done. I asked for an invoice & was informed I’d get a receipt once paid. I was not willing to pay without an invoice. I received an invoice at 10pm which stated payment was due in one month. At 7am the next day I was telephoned & asked for payment to be made that day! Callum’s manner was quite abrupt. The invoice didn’t give bank payment details, these were sent by text. I feel I have been ripped off & have since spoken to 3 other independent roofing contractors, who all agreed I had. Cost could have been £40 if other work needed to be done a max of £120 would have been a fair price. I have given a 2 star rating as the initial response was very quick - within 2 minutes of me placing the job on Bark. I cannot recommend C&M Roofing & have been advised to contact Trading Standards.

Our original request was to remove spray foam insulation from the roof, however, it was pointed out that the roof rafters had been seriously affected and needed replacing. Roof was leaking through loose ridge tiles and tiles. As roof was bad and needed urgent repairs they fitted us in as quickly as they possibly could.
The roof is now fixed they did a wonderful job. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs roof work done. They also clean up after themselves. This company used scaffolding on the bungalow so they met all safety aspects for the team.

Everything went very smoothly throughout, from initial meeting and roof survey (by drone) through erection and removal of scaffolding, replacement of roofing felt, battens and tiles to remedial work on the previously un-noticed (and not charged for) sagging in the porch roof. Skips were removed promptly and the site was left spotless. Charlie concern for standards is exemplified by the fact that he returned for a final inspection once my solar panels had been re-installed by a third party.
