I have been working with Jake for a few years and I really enjoy his approach. I’ve had Personal Trainers in the past, but it was always at the gym and in person. It worked as long as I was training in the gym, following the workout routine, and meal plan. However, as soon as I stopped, the weight came back and sometimes doubled. What I like about Jake is the personal connection. He took the time to get to know me as a person and my eating habits. He treats the problem. What I mean by that is he doesn’t just give you a bunch of workouts and meal plans to help you lose weight. One of the things he did with me was asked me to send him pictures of everything I ate. From there he started taking things away. He also found that I had a very unhealthy relationship with sugar. Sugar was the culprit. With his help, I was able to lose weight and I looked great at my sister’s wedding. I’m human, therefore I fall. I’d like to say that I kept the weight off, but I still struggle with sugar. What I really like about Jake is that he meets you where you’re at. He has never once given up on me despite the fact that I stop, checking in with him or go back to sugar. His life, experience and experience with others allows him to meet you where you’re at. I love that he does not give up on me and I’m not just another paying customer. He knows me and my weaknesses with food. I am not where I want to be, but I work towards that goal every single day. I have struggled for years with fitness and weight issues, then Jake and Body Upgrade came along and my life changed for the better.
