Dog Training
I have gone for the 8 weeks package for my 1 year old Cavapoo Marlo who had really bad anxiety the minute I even tried to get to the door or if he lose sight of me for a second.
I have started working on it with Zaira and this was definitely the best decision for me and Marlo. Zaira’s calm and positive attitude has changed Marlo’s view on being alone.
The tailored training plan has worked for Marlo so well and now he feels save being alone and smash every target duration one by one.
Working with Zaira has been a pleasure and it gave me the push that I needed to see consistency and small steps work.
She has been available at all times to review my training videos and answer my questions even during Christmas. This just shows how dedicated she is to make sure she is there for you when you need her.
We still have a work to do with Marlo but thanks to Zaira we have done the biggest steps with her and we know how to train in a future. I would absolutely recommend Zaira to anyone who has a dog suffering with anxiety. I’ve been told by other people training at this age is waste of time, it’s waste of money, it won’t work but TRUST ME it works and the difference I can see in Marlo is huge. He has not only changed while staying alone but he is much more confident now, his recall has improved too and in general his behavior in many aspects has changed for better.
During the 8 weeks not only Marlo learned so much but myself as a dog mum I know so much more, I can read Marlo so well and I’m able to spot any small signs of stress straight away now, signs that I would never tell was stress signs before I started working with Zaira.
Zaira is not just a person who focus on your for 8 weeks and once your package is done she don’t care. She gives you all the tricks and advice needed for you to continue the training on your own.
Mummy and Marlo are very grateful for all you did for us.

Dog Training
We booked Zaira for her 4 week course to help with our dog’s separation anxiety. Zaira went way beyond our expectations. Throughout the course she remained calm, professional and extremely supportive and flexible when training was difficult. We have learnt an enormous amount about our dog and his personality as well dog behaviour in general. We are definitely armed with relevant knowledge to continue building on this training. We would not hesitate to recommend Zaira to anyone looking for help with their dog’s separation anxiety. More...

My dog Toby absolutely loves Zaira. He is a lovely rescue who has been really hard to train for recall. We have at last cracked it working with Zaira. Her calm and patient way with Toby and her clear instructions to me mean that Toby now comes reliably when I use the whistle when he is off the lead - now doing some training walks to make sure the recall sticks whatever the environment! Very professional. Took time to understand training needs and after spending some time with our dog, put a written plan together. Had good understanding of dog psychology and behaviour, and helped so much with puppy training. Our dog was scared to walk past people and after training we don’t have this issue. Would highly recommend. More...

Zaira was wonderful, so patient and knowledgeable, and has hugely helped our children interact so much more happily and safely with family pets as well as dogs we meet out and about.
She helped each of them based on their own needs, teaching my shyer youngest how to feel more confident and giving tips like why you should stand still if you're nervous, not run away as the dog thinks you're playing, while also helping my older one to understand what kind of play and cuddles are nice for him AND for the dog, and why for example it's not safe to try to pat unknown dogs in the park.
She also showed us good techniques to help out and keep things calm and happy, we're really happy and have recommended her to friends!

Both Kyra and I love Zaira. She is very gentle with the dogs and also quite firm at the same time. She takes time explaining everything to the humans and it is clear she loves her job and the dogs
What do you love most about your job?
My favourite thing about what I do is seeing the transformation of a distressed dog suffering from separation anxiety to one that feels much more at ease being left alone. I enjoy tailoring the gradual exposure method to each dog to ensure they remain comfortable and confident within their threshold.
I’m a real canine body language nerd and love studying their intricate and subtle hints! Learning to understand and in turn, interpret each tiny detail to create a bigger picture of a dog’s self-expression is one of my absolute favourite things to do.
I love to learn from every dog that I work with and strive to build a relationship built on trust, collaboration and a meaningful bond with them all. I love being able to learn from them just as much as they can from me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I really wanted to just spend as much quality time as I could with dogs and after seeing my own dog, Shadow, suffer from Separation Anxiety, I became even more passionate about wanting to help improve other dogs’ emotional well-being and their quality of life. He played a big part in inspiring me to qualify and specialise in Separation Anxiety!
Being able to transform my passion for working with dogs into my job is a dream come true!
‘Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ Confucius once said.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose me because not only am I incredibly passionate about what I do, but I am constantly studying and trying to better myself as a Separation Anxiety Behaviour Consultant.
I believe it is vital to keep building upon everything known about canine body language and am consistently trying to better my knowledge of this.
Understanding and correctly interpreting even the smallest, most subtle body language cues and understanding how to change a dog’s emotional responses can make the slightest difference between a dog remaining at ease and going over their threshold. This is so important with the Gradual Exposure Method I use for Separation Anxiety; this method allows for effective communication and teaches a dog that being home alone is safe!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, all aspects of my Separation Anxiety training are done online. I believe that training for Separation Anxiety is far more effective when done remotely, as the presence of an additional person in a dog’s home can greatly alter the dynamics and training process for the dog when we are teaching them to cope with being home alone.
Separation Anxiety Training
All Separation Anxiety training and sessions with myself take place remotely/online and are conducted using a method called ‘Gradual Exposure.’ This method will be tailored specifically to your dog’s needs and involves getting your dog used to being on their own in very small increments ensuring that your dog remains within their comfort zone – similar to how a human phobia is treated! The aim is to create a new association in your dog’s brain whereby being home alone no longer equals distress, but something they find safe and manageable.
I offer two packages – a 4-week program and an 8-week program.
Both packages include (but are not limited to): 4 x 1hr online bespoke lessons, 4 – 5 weekly training plans, daily video reviews and body language analysis of your dog’s tailored training exercises and ongoing and daily support (e.g. feedback, WhatsApp support, other resources, etc).

Puppy Training and Dog Training
These are 1 to 1 sessions held in-person or remotely. Using positive reinforcement, we will teach your dog desirable behaviours, whilst strengthening the bond between you and your dog. We will be paying close attention to the dog’s emotional well-being and we will find ‘solutions’ where both yours and your dog’s needs will be met.
There will be an initial consultation (one and a half hours) and will take place in your home. Following sessions will be an hour long and will take place either in your home, outdoors or a combination of both. You will also receive a follow-up email after every session and support in between sessions.
