I'd struggled with anxiety for many years before plucking up the courage to seek help. Fiona was recommended to me by a friend and was wonderful. What do you love most about your job?
It’s a privilege working with people, who often share things they wouldn’t normally. I love assisting people in their personal growth and development.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have a genuine interest in people and love helping them through their journey, as well as continual person learning.
Why should our clients choose you?
I work from an integrative approach using whichever skills and techniques I feel are best suited to the client.
I value individual difference and strongly believe people can be empowered to discover their own answers.
I am warm, empathic, non-judgemental, excellent listening skills and have integrity.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I do online counselling (Teams) and Skype mainly, with some face to face counselling.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, 1:1 counselling online has enabled counselling work from the comfort of your own home.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I changed to mostly online counselling during the pandemic and keep clients updated if I become unwell or if I’ve been in touch with a confirmed case of covid in line with BACP regulations.
I also have increased hygiene measures, suspending face to face contact temporarily. I wash my hands thoroughly before and after seeing a client and regularly disinfect door handles, chairs, phones, shared pens etc.
