We sought Patricia’s guidance with our French Bulldog, who was showing resistance and signs of aggression when we needed to use a soft cone to prevent him from licking his paws. Patricia taught us a technique that allowed us to put the cone on him successfully and he was comfortable wearing it too! We also asked for Patricia’s help in preparing our dog for the arrival of our baby. Thanks to her guidance, we feel confident and well-prepared. Overall, we are thrilled with our dog’s progress and couldn’t be more grateful to Patricia for her support and expertise. More...

Thank you Patricia for helping me with my 2 dachshunds that have very different reactivity problems. You listened and observed myself and the dogs in their own home before showing me practical small steps at each session that have been easy to maintain. Mabel ( 5 years ) has learnt that whilst seeing a hoover maybe scary she no longer needs to run and hide and is able to relax whilst the silent hoover sits in the same room. And Hugo achieved his first walk in 4 years with a new dog , even approaching for a sniff , after avoiding any contact and being petrified and aggressive towards all dogs on walks since birth. ( an amazing moment ) . I know we still have a long journey ahead of us but the amount of progress that has been made in such a short space of time is amazing. Your holistic approach has been very effective in changing both dog’s behaviour and improving and calming our day to day lives, I highly recommend your services. Jane B - Goffs Oak More...

Patricia has been an incredible help with our Labrador puppy, Bramble. Her support with lead training and recall (especially using the whistle) has been a complete game changer. She worked wonders around fireworks season too, helping Bramble overcome her fear with patience, calmness and clear guidance. Patricia is a mine of information when it comes to behaviour, training and even nutrition. Her approach is thoughtful, kind and genuinely effective. We’ve seen such a positive difference in Bramble thanks to her. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive and truly brilliant trainer. More...

Patricia at Be More Dog has been working with me and my cocker spaniel Sweep for two years now. In that time she has taught me that a lot of “bad” behaviour was actually my fault as an owner, where I was inadvertently setting my dog up to fail. With Patricia’s help and guidance, Sweep has gone from a shy, nervous & reactive dog, to one that is calm, controlled and confident. Instead of being pulled around on walks, with Sweep weaving and twisting, doing zig-zags and figure eights, she now walks to heel on a loose lead. I’ve also learned more about responsible dog ownership, about how to listen to Sweep’s needs, and how best to set her up for success. Under Patricia’s guidance, Sweep is now on a raw food diet, and thriving. I cannot express enough my gratitude to Patricia for all her help. More...

I would not hesitate to recommend Patricia to anyone! I had a difficult issue whereby my two dogs couldn’t cope being left alone (e. g. I couldn’t take one for a walk and leave the other at home), and with just two sessions I’m now up to leaving them each for 20 minutes! They just lay down and calmly wait for me to return! I genuinely can’t believe how quickly they got to this point. I also loved that all the advice that Patricia gave me was kind to my dogs and very focused on helping them to feel confident alone - it’s lovely seeing how they’ve progressed and I’ve got a training plan moving forward to keep increasing the time. Patricia is amazing, she really knows her stuff, if you’re having any issue with your dog please book in a session, you won’t regret it! More...

What can I say, Patricia has helped us in a situation I was unsure we could ever resolve. Our English Bull Terrier & Dachshund / Shi Tzu cross have lived together quite harmoniously for 2 years, however I wanted to introduce a puppy, We bought another Dach / Shi cross. The reason? In case something ever happened to one, two would remain & still have company. Marzi (EBT) was not happy and we've had to have the puppy fostered since Dec 24. She would growl, heckles up & during early walks together, would try her utmost to get to him, in what I envisaged as ending in a vicious attack. With Patricia's incredible knowledge, support, assistance and careful planning we reached a stage, early April where all 3 dogs were in our garden, without leads. Patricia is an absolute marvel and has taught us a lot about ourselves, as well as our beautiful dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone in a similar position. More...

I have a rather complex, independent, intelligent and aloof rescue dog from Vietnam named Nelly. I've followed Patricia for a while and had just 1 online session a week ago. Today is the first day in a while, (or perhaps ever?) that I have felt in tune to my dog and his unique needs. We had a very simple task to try and get him to trust and follow me more and the results honestly brought me to tears. I really observed him and what he was trying to tell me and it paid off. I'm looking forward to the rest of my journey with Patricia helping Nelly to overcome his traumatic start to life and fully enjoy his new life in England ❤️🐾 More...

Patricia has been wonderful at helping us train our dogs. We’ve only had one session so far and are awaiting her next visits, but we can already see improvement and have a lot of pointers to work on in the meantime! We love her gentle, but to the point advice on what we as humans have been doing wrong in certain scenarios, as it really helps us to see in the mind of a dog and how we inadvertently have been encouraging certain behaviours rather than easing. She walked us through what to do when situations arise (as we had multiple situations arise on her visit) and they were addressed as they popped up, and we were actually shown and advised on what to do which is exactly what we needed as other trainers in the past have only verbally told us and then handed a sheet of paper leaving us still a bit clueless! The hands on approach really helps us truly understand every step we need to take and she can address anything she sees us doing wrong in the moment. One of our dogs barked for 4 and a half hours straight when we last had a visitor (pet sitter in the home). We’ve not had anyone around since. With Patricia and her help, we were able to stop his barking and get him to settle within 10minutes of her being in the home! That alone was a miracle! We honestly couldn’t recommend her more. (Photo of said dog when he finally settled after 10minutes!) More...

We have worked with Patricia over 4 sessions for help with our 2 miniature dachshunds. We found out we were expecting a baby towards the end of the year and were particularly worried about one of dachshunds resource guarding which had caused the two dogs to fight on several occasions. The aggression that one of the dogs, Pablo, was displaying was worrying and at points we were concerned we wouldn’t be able to keep him when the baby arrived. This was not the only issue and also had problems with barking at visitors or strangers in the house and then becoming overly friendly, barking relentlessly at the doorbell, pulling on the lead and reacting to other dogs. The younger dog, Frank, seemed to imitate Pablo’s behaviour and lacked a lot of confidence including not ever going to the toilet when we were out of the house. Fast forward to now they have both made amazing progress. Most amazingly, they have completely stopped fighting and are back to being loving brothers! They are both now much more respectful of boundaries and actually wait to be invited up onto furniture. Frank has become much more confident he no longer imitates Pablo’s behaviour, has started toileting on walks, has stopped pulling on his lead and become less reactive to other dogs. We also introduced him to a baby and a 3 year old and he was excellent with them. Pablo has calmed down much quicker when visitors have entered our house, and his overly friendly behaviour does not happen anywhere near as much. He has also stopped pulling on his lead and has become much less reactive to other dogs. Today we had carpet fitters round and he actually sat in his bed and ate a treat while they were working upstairs, which is something I never thought would happen. Everyone has commented about how much ‘he has chilled out’. We can’t thank Patricia enough for all of her help. She has taught us so much and it feels good to be able to advocate for our dogs and to know they trust us in situations. And most importantly thank you for helping us to keep our family together! Thank you again Patricia 😊 More...
