What makes a great website?
A great website is reliable, looks good on every device and is as future-proof as possible.
A great website has well organised, making it easy for people to find what they need fast. A great website loads quickly and is fully optimised to be found in Google, Bing and other search engines.
A great website looks amazing - stylish and well designed. A great website uses video content - because given the choice, we believe that people would much rather watch a video than read text.
Most of all a great website reflects what is great about you and your business - tells your story and demonstrates clear benefits and reasons to buy.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want the site to achieve? Is it a reference point for general information? To demonstrate a product? To make direct sales?
Who is it aimed at? What type of customers are you targeting? Are you targeting local, national or global customers? This will inform the search engine optimisation strategy.
What is the time frame in which the site is to be completed? What is the budget and when is work to start?
How organised is your content? Do you have copy / images / video? Do you have an idea as to how the content is to lay out across different pages?
Do you have a reference site that you admire and would like to emulate? Is there a design reference point that you can point to and say "I like the way that looks"?

The creative process depends very much on the client. If the client has a very clear vision of the way they want something to look, we are delighted to follow that brief to completion.
