How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Someone can say a garage is suitable to convert, particularly the soundness of the walls, roof, existing slab and foundations.

Run a trial pit, Foundation/Structure: Checking and installing the foundation of a garage for the conversion plan. Insulating and Weatherproofing: Checking and installing insulation on the garage roof for protection. Utilities Installation: Extending or installing utilities like electricity, heating, and plumbing.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
There needs to be at least 2.2m between the top of the floor joists and the bottom of the ridge timber or ridge beam. This is so that there is at least 2m of headroom once new floors and beams etc have been fitted. You should also consider the headroom throughout the majority of the room. This is what is deemed a comfortable height.

Loft Conversion
Flat roof joists, rafters or strengthen existing rafters, flitch beams if required, dormer supports, trimmers for skylight/roof lights, timber lintels. roof and floor steel beams, bearing plate or pad stones for steel beams, load-bearing stud wall, and column to prevent the beam bearing on a chimney wall, and splice connection if required.
Structural details.
Rear or side extension
Rafters or flat roof joists, timber lintels, catnic/timber lintels, trimmers for skylight/roof lights. Roof or floor beams, Goal post steel frame, or steel box frame for lateral stability of the existing structure. concentric and eccentric foundation not to undermine the neighbor foundation. Specification of PC lintel or encase steel beam over sewer or drain pipe, and splice connection if required.
Structural details.
Subsidence
Inspection, report, recommend trial pits, drain CCTV survey, and repair drain. Recommend pruning of trees with influence zone. Recommend robust superstructure repairs for various damage on the property.
Garden or Cellar Retaining Wall
Analyse and design retaining walls either cantilever retaining, masonry retaining, Reinforced retaining, Stepoc retaining, etc. with structural detailing.
Chimney support
Analyse and design steel to support chimney stack + padstone or connection design to other beams or a column or a PC lintel to support chimney stack.
