Apple Core Support recently upgraded the 1TB HDD on my 2011 27”iMac to a 2TB SSD. They did an excellent job from start to finish. A clear explanation of options, risks and costs beforehand was given. I was able to drop my iMac off at the weekend and then collect the fully updated machine 3 days later. Apple Core support were even able to turn my old HDD into an external drive for me at very reasonable cost. All in all, everything I expected from a very professional company. Nice one! I originally approached the local Apple recomended repair place to get this job done, but they couldn't seem to care less about getting my business - they invited me to make an appointment in five days time to bring my computer in to them and they couldn't tell me how long they would have it. So I thought I would give Richard a go and he was brilliant. Richard 1st came along to help solve an email issue which he did promptly. Since then I have used his services for training and have regular lessons and he is able to describe things in a manner that I can understand and get more from my computer. Sad to say, I rely very heavily on my MAC and a couple of days ago, it blew something and stopped working. Richard from Applecore support reacted immediately, coming to collect the MAC, and gave a very fast (and honest) appraisal of what needed to be done. Richard provided the most fantastic, efficient and cost effective service I could have imagined. My Mac had trouble booting and after Apple reinstalled a new system, they were unable to recover or transfer my precious data (which I hadn’t backed up)! I discovered Apple Core Support online and have been blown away by Richard’s amazing service. My laptop and data are my lifeblood, so I was very stressed, but Richard was extremely reassuring and clearly explained what he thought the problem might be. He was able to quickly recover and save all my data, gave fantastic advice on the best replacement hard drive, installed a brand new one and cleaned up my entire laptop, inside and out. It came back to me looking and feeling brand new, much faster and all my data and apps were back in their rightful place. So I spilled water over my macbook pro...worried about all the horror stories online that said I was likely to lose my machine. ..No fear, Richard picked it up the next day and was able to clean and sort within 48 hours.Not only was he speedy and efficient he can also speak in understandable terms meaning I could understand what he had done and why! I am going to be booking him in for a tutorial session for all my mac queries that have been niggling for a while.I do not often write that a service is outstanding but this is one of those occasions when it is appropriate to do so. Called Apple Core Support last week as my Mac Book Pro was running slow. Over the telephone discussed this with Richard and it became apparent that I needed to upgrade my RAM from 4GB to 16GB.
