What do you love most about your job?
As a speaker I love having the opportunity to reach a large audience and share the lessons that I learnt as an athlete and help others apply them in their world - in particular the behaviours, actions and skills required to deliver outstanding performance. Walking away from a speech feeling like I have inspired others and they have taken away at least a couple of nuggets of wisdom that they can action is super rewarding to me. I also love entertaining people and bringing these messages to life with anecdotes from my journey as an Olympian and World Champion.
As an athlete I was lucky to work with excellent coaches in the world of sport for over 20 years and I discovered the powerful impact of a great coach; I now grateful to have the opportunity to coach people in business and offer the kind of support that I received and help my clients to achieve the success that they deserve. What I love the most is seeing progress and growth in my clients, it is truly rewarding when they overcome obstacles, have light bulb moments and achieve their goals.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After retiring from the world of elite sport, I realised that I had learned a lot of invaluable life lessons about high performance, resilience and leadership and I wanted to share that with others. I saw a real opportunity to bring those lessons and combine them with cutting edge science and research to help business leaders deliver outstanding performance.
