Animals at home have been fantastic with my cat so far! I booked them for the 30 minute cat sitting visits for our holiday. They came over for a discussion on exactly what she needs & to learn her routine. They have a great balance of professional, but friendly & casual. They give updates, pictures & videos of the interaction to reassure you on how they're doing whilst you're away. It's all at a very good price for such a great service. Lynette, from the kings Lynn and West Norfolk branch of Animals At Home, collected my new puppy for me last Friday. I was extremely happy with her service. I chose Lynette from a variety of different puppy carriers because of her detailed email response and her reassuring words when I phoned her up. She kept in touch for the whole journey, from Barnsley, and as Amber, my puppy, was so small she put her in a cat carrier on the front seat with her. This meant she could immediately see if Amber became upset or needed changing-which did happen. She also stopped for cuddles with the puppy and to feed her. We have just returned from two weeks holiday knowing that our two cats would have been lovingly looked after at home by Jennie and Laura whilst we were away. We left our cats for a month earlier in the year and we received regular news as to their well-being. Both cats are happier when left in their familiar surroundings rather than in a cattery. Your dog requires exercise and mental stimulation, and if you at work or out for the day, you may not be able to provide for their needs.
We provide the individual attention of one-to-one dog walks, so that the experience is tailored to your dog’ specific needs.
Let us walk your dog on your behalf, just sit back and watch the photo and video updates roll in so you can see what fun they’re having!
We are happy to offer occasional walks when the need arises or we can set up regular visits, the choice is entirely yours.

Dog Boarding
We offer all the comforts and familiar routines of home that your dog is accustomed to. We take great care to select just the right people to host your dog, and all of our host families have Local Authority Dog Home Boarding Licenses as required by Law. They must have suitable houses, gardens, training, protocols and risk assessments; and importantly, must be dog lovers themselves.
We are in the process of applying for our Boarding Licence and will issue our Licence number once approved.
How does it work?
If you are new to dog boarding, don’t worry, we will guide you through the process. Before your dog stays with us, you will be invited to visit the host family, so you can see the home your best friend will be staying in and meet the people who will look after them.
Once both parties are happy we will look forward to your dog’s arrival, or we can collect them in our specially designed pet taxi. Either way, you can relax knowing they will get all the care and attention they deserve, and you’ll get plenty of photo and video updates so you can see how much fun your dog is having on their holiday!
Cat Sitting & Feeding
Cats are happiest at home.
We offer a friendly, reliable and professional cat care service for your cats in the familiar surroundings of their home. Many cats (and some owners) find the experience of a cattery stressful and we aim to provide a real alternative.
Our visits include litter tray cleaning, feeding, changing water. We can even cater for cats on medication including diabetic cats as we are fully trained in administering tablets and injections.
We will provide you with photo and video updates and also keep a good eye on your home ensuring that you can relax and enjoy your holiday or focus on your business.
Pet Sitting & Feeding
From a small pet to a small holding, we offer a variety of services based around your animal’s needs. If you are at work all day or away, we can offer home visits to ensure that pet feeding and care takes place when needed.
As part of the service, we can also water plants and ensure that your property is secure. We are fully insured and DBS security checked. We’ll keep you up to date with photos and videos for maximum peace of mind.
If you are planning a holiday or a business trip, talk to us about care for your rabbits, reptiles, small furies, exotics, chickens, goats and horses.
Animal Ambulance & Pet Taxi
Safe pet transport is a must for your pet, whether it’s a trip to the vets, the groomers, because you’re moving home or in an emergency.
We can help you get your pets to the surgery for routine appointments, or for urgent attention and can attend appointments on your behalf if you are unable to for any reason.
We work closely with our local vets. All our ambulance teams are pet first aid and pet handling trained and some have received further training at an RCVS accredited veterinary hospital practice. Their skills include handling and administering medications and emergency medicine.
Our Pet Taxi / Animal Ambulance has been designed with safety, welfare and comfort in mind; to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for your pets. The vehicle holds DEFRA approval for both long and short journeys, as required by UK Law. The design features bespoke animal accommodation, with escape hatches and veterinary grade construction. It carries pet first aid equipment, pet carriers, hygiene and cleaning solutions and spare vet bed material.
We are fully insured and happy to quote for any job locally or nationally.
Pet Cremation
Since you first met your pet, you’ve given them the best of everything. When it’s time to say goodbye, why would it be any different?
At Animals at Home we offer a personal and dignified pet cremation service. We can collect your pet from home, or from your vets, and take them with the upmost care to our locally carefully selected crematorium, for an individual certified cremation. You can select a personalised casket in either light or dark wood (or a scatter tube if you would prefer), along with a tasteful selection of keepsakes and ornaments if you wish.
Your pet will be returned to you personally, as soon as the following day. In most cases your pet will be cremated the same day. No freezer, no long journeys and no ashes returned by post, just care and respect from beginning to end.
