Went with this company because of 5 star reviews & got 1 star service. Quoted to replace roof tiles & fit chimney cowl & then on day that work was arranged he contacted to say there had been a break in so couldn't attend. Turned up the next day & said nobody at office had mentioned the cowl! Although Paul promised to return & do this he then said other work on roof was needed & fitting cowl was dependant on us agreeing to this. He rubbished other tradesmen who had previously put a new flat roof over bay & said they had not done lead work correctly. Also said chimney needed repointing & ridge tiles bedded in, which might well be correct but I don't have the funds & would want to get more than 1 quote. Plus he kept telling me he was giving me an estimate rather than a quote for the work needed so no guarantee it would increase. His initial quote for roof tiles & replacement cowl was not cheap & he obviously thought he could capitalise on it. More...
