Integrity is paramount, that is my most valued attribute. I have a wealth of experience in the accountancy field.
What do you love most about your job?
the numbers have to balance, its an exact science! Thats what i love the most, there is always an accurate end result. I do love a challenge, I really never mind spreadsheets upon spreadsheets of numbers to sift through to prepare the accounts, its really satisfying seeing the spreadsheets getting reconciled line by line. Similarly, on an accounts package, seeing the reports getting smaller and shorter, meaning that I'm getting closer to the end result! I really enjoy forensic accounting - thats when i dig really deep and start looking at whats missing, rather than whats in front of me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm a real people person, having spent my first 20 years in a front line financial career, I enjoyed seeing customers and respecting their individual needs. I started my own bookkeeping company in 2005, but rather than overcommitting to 100's of customers, I chose to keep my client base small to ensure that I knew each and every one of them in much greater detail, that way I can really understand their business, needs, and most importantly, their numbers.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am very reliable, I pay real attention to detail, MI accounts are available efficiently after month/quarter ends, with narrative to explain ups and downs, so that any changes to the business operations are addressed quickly rather than at year end. I dont leave work until the last minute - i like a clear desk, so I start work when i receive it, and I do not overcommit to multiple clients, and put either of us under pressure.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Work remotely therefore, no need to be face to face with clients.
