Highly recommend Maddy and aida acupuncture! I had regular treatments with Maddy to help with postnatal recovery (including breastfeeding support). Maddy was incredibly thorough both the complementary intro call and our first session, and I felt really supported in my sharing my short- and longer-term goals with treatment. Plus, the space itself is very relaxing and warm. In our later sessions, Maddy always made sure to check in as to how I was feeling during my postnatal journey - and most importantly, adjusted my treatment accordingly... ... e.g., after a particularly long stretch of baby-wearing, Maddy offered to do some gua sha on my neck and back (in addition to acupuncture), which worked wonders. ... e.g., as my little one started weaning, she tailored my treatment from breastfeeding acupuncture points to nourishment and I honestly felt a lot more emotionally stable. When my breastfeeding journey ended, Maddy didn't try to upsell me on additional sessions, which I really appreciated and made me trust her even more. I really can’t recommend Maddy enough! I was looking into treatments for ME/CFS and tried out Aida as Maddy specifically mentioned chronic conditions on her website. I’m so glad I did! Maddy is so kind and puts you completely at ease, I felt so safe and comfortable sharing all my history and felt really listened to. The first session is incredibly in depth which makes you feel like the treatment is being really tailored to your needs. In my first treatment I felt the most relaxed I had in probably the 2 years since first getting sick. My Oura ring echoed this, showing my stats went down from high stress to the lowest point in ‘restored’ right when the treatment started. I had similar effects in my following treatments, always leaving feeling much calmer and more relaxed. With it being really difficult to switch into rest & digest with ME, this was such a huge help to me. Maddy’s continued support, consultations and advice really added to the benefits of the treatment and it makes such a difference to see a health professional who really sees and listens to you.
