We had been experiencing a leak in our flat for the last 4 years, no matter how many roofers I contacted to replace slates and perform other fixes on the roof the cause of the leak was never properly identified. I uploaded a request for quotes onto Bark on a Sunday afternoon and within about 15 minutes James had called me and offered to come by to take a look. He was round that same day and straight away went up into the loft to see if he could work out what the problem was (something no other contractor was willing to or interested in doing for some reason). After the problem was quickly identified I received an estimate within a few days. When we decided that we would investigate getting more work done to the roof to prevent future issues James came back with a revised quote that was very competitive against others that I received and provided a comprehensive list of all the work him and his team would carry out.

While discussing work itself James always took time to explain things to me in layman’s terms so that I could understand what work was being carried out which was hugely helpful. Furthermore, James and his team showed up to start the work when they said they were going to and finished the job on time, this was highly appreciated as the Friday when the work was initially due to finish was so windy that the guys couldn’t get round that day – instead, they arrived the morning after (Saturday) and worked extremely hard to finish the remaining work that day.

James at a cut above all trades is a very knowledgeable young lad his technique’s new and old were very impressive he over hauled our house with a completely new roof front and back and very competitive with his prices as we shopped around and found him to be one of the cheapest but don’t let that put you off his skill and hard workmanship was unbeatable thanks again guys for your hard work especially working around the holidays to make sure we were nice and dry thanks again Mr Campbell
