I don't normally write reviews but I have to praise the service we received from Mark at 247Locksmiths. We had been looking to upgrade our locks for a while but a number of local break-ins convinced us now was the time. Mark was able to fit us in before our holiday and we now have the latest and greatest 3* anti-snap locks on all our doors. And, now all our doors work from the same key. It probably says a lot that this is the 3rd time I've called on Mark for help! Once again, quick, reliable and a fair price. Rang on Friday afternoon, arranged to come Monday after making sure there wouldn't be a security issue over the weekend. Explained was he was doing, showed me the problem (so could clearly see it needed replacing), popped out to get the part and was all sorted within a couple of hours. Apologies for the delay in reviewing, I blame Christmas! Towards the end of 2023 my elderly next-door neighbour returned home from shopping and couldn’t find his key. He’d also lost his only spare key a few days previously. I tried three local locksmiths, none of whom were able to help despite my explaining that my neighbour is 85 years old and locked out of his house on a bitterly cold afternoon. One of them however gave me the number for 247locksmiths. I rang and the number was busy …….. but within a few minutes Mark returned my call (even though I hadn’t left a voicemail message). As soon as I told Mark about my 85 yr old neighbour’s plight, and despite being very busy himself, he said he would be with us in an hour which he was. The lock was not a common type but Mark persevered and managed to get in and fit a recognised new mechanism. My neighbour was very relieved and happy to pay the sum he had quoted. Called to fix a back door lock - 2 1/2 hours later we had no door handle and advice to buy a new door as he couldn’t open it at all. Left the door handle in 4 pieces saying he’d need 3/4 hours to repair the door/lock (if it was possible). Called someone else who had the door open and all parts replaced within an hour. When I rang to discuss he claimed he’d done us a favour by only charging us £95 (which is apparently his hourly rate) and refused to admit any fault claiming he’d done the hard work Edit* The reason I had to contact my insurance was because of the recommendation to get a new door. Outstanding service! Prompt, efficient and reasonably priced. Called 247 Locksmiths in the hope that they would be able to come out same day, as my Mum had managed to lock herself out of her home! My partner locked our nanny’s keys in her car on a Saturday. After looking on google for someone to help and making a few calls to other companies (who couldn’t come that day) I found mark.
