Delighted with the service from this company. Friendly and helpful visit pre-move from the boss Ophir then on the day his guys Adrian and Bradley worked incredibly hard and were good humoured and helpful throughout. When Adrian hurt his knee they called their colleague Tom who gave up his Saturday afternoon to help us. Couldn't ask for more. Really good service. I had booked a man and van via “quickmanandvan.co.uk” who seemed reputable, in the morning I had an email saying he was having technical difficulties which I reckon was just a polite way of saying he didn’t want to do it. Someone else was booked for me from “quickmanandvan.co.uk” and when it came time to move they didn’t even show up, when I called asking where they were they basically told me they’d looked at the job, decided I had too much stuff and didn’t want to do it, this would be fine had he told me but he didn’t even let me know. No email, no text, no phone call so I was left in the lurch with limited time to move my things. When I called “quickmanandvan.co.uk” to complain they didn’t sound very surprised or interested and said they would ring around for another van in the area and get back to me in 10 minutes, 40 minutes later I eventually called them because they hadn’t bothered and they said no one was available and so I asked for a refund. Never using them again, what a joke and a massive waste of my time. Because of them I ended up finishing moving at 00:30 and I didn’t eat all day.After ringing around I finally found yorkshire van man who were great, the owners driver wasn’t available last minute so the company owner came and helped me himself, he even came a few hours earlier than he thought he would be able too and I’m pretty sure he gave up part of his evening with his partner which was kind of him. Found Yorkshire Movers online as I had bought a large cabinet on ebay that needed transporting from London back up to Leeds. Ophir was quick to respond with a price and gave two options either to do a dedicated trip or to hang on a week and do a split load which then split the cost. We opted for the split load. Ophir kept in regular contact and arranged pick up in London at a convenient time to the seller which meant him leaving Leeds at 2am! Once picked up he texted to confirm and delivered the same evening to us in Leeds.In the van I saw the unit had been incredibly well strapped down with blankets so as not to scratch anything, the shelves were also individually wrapped. Ophir carried the unit in, helped place it in the correct place, helped build it up and ensured we were fully happy before leaving.Very friendly guy, very personal service, and confident our item was very well looked after in transit. Having helped us moved house a short while back we once again called upon the the services of the Yorkshire Movers.As usual they were prompt, on time and as always, warm, friendly and welcoming of any task. The job required this time was for a carpet to be picked up and dropped off and for all of our excess waste to be disposed of. The Yorkshire Van Man helped us move house recently. From initial contact where we discussed our requirements, to actually moving in to our new place, everything went very smoothly and professionally. We opted for the 2-man service and they somehow managed to fit our whole 2-bedroom house into their van! They turned up at the agreed time, and were very friendly and happy to chat.Everything came out of the van in the same condition it went in, they even had special padded covers for pictures/mirrors and sofas.We packed things in strong boxes which were fully sealed and we tried to put everything in one room before they arrived to ease the loading process. I hired Ophir to move my belongings from Yeadon to Windsor, due to me relocating for work. Ophir did a fantastic job and was extremely helpful in taking on the bulk of the loading work. I would highly recommend the services of the company they moved 2 sofas fore which were extremely heavy and very large and carried then up 3 flights of stairs only to discover they were too large to go thru the door however they decided to take the door off and with shear brute determination managed to get them in not only that but they arranged them to suit in the living room they were above and beyond my expectations they were proper polite very professional gentlemen if I need any help in future I will defo call on them brilliant well done lads ☺
