Theo is so patient and understanding with both dogs and humans. She taught us so much about dog behaviour and Douglas is a more relaxed and happy dog now.

Theo has been a huge help in getting us back on the 'right track' with our first puppy - housetraining, socialisation, practical tips, getting out of bad habits. She is very personable, knowledgeable, non-judgemental, understanding, pragmatic, encouraging and fun. Thank you very much Theo for your support. We highly recommend Theo! More...

Where to start, perhaps a good place to start would be with Theos genuine and gentle nature or perhaps with her wisdom and understanding. Theo has an amazing ability to really understand people and dogs alike. I felt great trust towards Theo from our initial phone call. When Theo came to meet us, I knew immediately that standing in front of me was the lady with the answers. I can't quite put in to words how I feel about this remarkable lady. Theo is clearly a very intelligent, sensitive, caring and special individual. Bear, Stan and I have made some real progress since Theo came to meet us, even though our time is coming to an end, I can still feel Theos presence and I know I shall carry on with all the things discussed. Thank you Theo so sincerely. Blessings to you as you go forward and impact many more lives, both human and Canine xx More...

Theo is literally the Fairy God Mother of Dog Behaviourists! With her calm nature, incredible wealth of knowledge and what seems to be unbound less volt of resources, we felt in very safe hands when we were working with her to help our rescue puppy. Our work with our Puppy is a work in progress, and possibly will always be, but with Theo's help and support, and bespoke plan put together for us, we no longer feel lost or "at sea" with our reactive little furry.Theo, we cannot recommend you highly enough, thank you SO very much for all your help and support during our time with you. Theo has done a wonderful job of giving us the tools and information to help make our lives easier and to allow our dog to be a dog. We have a rescue dog who had a very hard time as a youngster and he is now learning to enjoy his life and his surroundings. Theo has been really helpful and supportive and has answered all the questions we had. We cannot thank her enough for her input and experience. We now have a more relaxed and happy dog and a very chilled family. More...

This review is a couple of years late but that just shows how highly we regard Theo and how she helped us with our dog 2 years ago. I’m sat here with the dog and it got me thinking how she has turned out so well and it’s because of Theo! We asked Theo for help starting on day 1 of having our pup at home and we saw her a number of times over the following months. All of her advice was excellent and we sailed through the puppy stage with Theo on hand at every little hiccup, she always found a gentle solution to everything and because of that we have an incredible kind, loyal and well behaved dog.We say she is ‘bombproof’, we have a disabled son and she is incredibly intuitive with him and they have an amazing relationship. Dizzy really is a great addition to our family and this is mostly due to Theo because we didn’t have a clue what we were doing! Thank you Theo xx More...

Theo is wonderful! Her approach is knowledgeable, empathetic and pragmatic. She really makes you feel comfortable (no question is too silly to ask and she doesn't judge) - there is a real sense of partnership in the way that she works with you, as an owner. Her skills and knowledge are backed by years of study and experience, making her a well-rounded behaviourist. Using only modern, kind methods she works with you to understand and change your dog's behaviour. As if that weren't enough, she's also just a jolly nice lady to be around! More...

Theo has taught me so much about dog behaviour.
Her kind and gentle positive methods, combined with a common sense approach, mean that dog's issues are dealt with effectively and fairly, in a way that is sustainable for the client going forwards.

My dog Baxter was a real tearaway before we got Theo in to help. Now no more chewed slippers and no more peeing in the hallway. Couldn't be happier.

We met Theo back in October to try and tackle our dog's persistent barking and also a new-found sudden dislike towards other dogs, which subsequently lost his place at daycare. Theo's response to our enquiry was incredibly prompt, and we began our assessment process within a couple of days. The knowledge that Theo possesses and also much-welcomed positive-reward based training is a real eye-opener; we immediately saw our issues in a way that we previously hadn't even considered. We enjoyed reading through our tailored plan, which nicely pinpoints every issue and tasks of how to alter this unwanted behaviour. As a result of this plan, we are now far less anxious around Woody meeting other dogs (he sometimes now even wants to have a game of chase and play with them). Indoors, too, we are yet to put a complete halt to the demanding barking but we now know ways to better manage it. We still have a long way to go (it never can be a quick-fix solution), but feel better equipped in understanding why behaviours happen when they do. We are very pleased to have chosen to work with Theo - she is a lovely lady who is non-judgemental and offers constructive solutions as a way of moving forward. Please truly consider working with someone who is a cruelty-free dog behaviourist - it works.Would thoroughly recommend x More...

What a change in walking. She walked perfectly, sometimes stretching the lead, but not pulling. Someone came out of a doorway as we went past, and I didn't tighten my grip as I used to, instead I left the lead loose and she just watched them come out and go. Concentrating on relaxing the tension in the lead as explained by Theo has made a big difference to our walks. More...

Theo is a real expert in her field, who assesses swiftly, explains clearly and offers practical advice to address whatever issues you are struggling with. Following her advice we saw changes immediately and a massive improvement over 3 weeks. Not only is our dog much more confident and relaxed but the whole family is too! We couldn't recommend her more highly. More...

I will be eternally grateful to Theo for all her invaluable advice and support for not only Cassie, my very fearful rescue dog, but me as well! Her observations were spot on and with her support l have made some significant breakthroughs with Cassie. This slow and gentle work is ongoing but l feel so encouraged and hopeful that her confidence will grow; it is, she’s more alert and responsive, no longer the shut down girl she was. Thank you so much Theo. More...

I can really recommend Theo. After our initial meeting she produced our personal plan for us immediately and followed up with phone calls and emails and tweaks to our plan. Over the space of a few weeks we saw what a difference her help and advice was making. My dogs were driving me mad with their barking and bad behaviour and now I have strategies to cope with them, they respond better to me and their behaviour is much improved. It's been 5 months since we got in touch with Theo and she is still ready to help. I have a better relationship with my dogs now and it's all thanks to Theo. It is hard work dog training and there are no quick fixes but if you are prepared to persevere and embed the training it will pay dividends. I am so glad we found Theo. More...

Q&A

I love meeting people, seeing amazing changes in their dogs and the feeling that I really make a difference.

My love of dogs and of people too, combined with skills from earlier in my long life - I was a teacher, I then ran businesses building website, database and my marketing. I love learning the theory and science behind behaviour - the psychology. Being a dog behaviourist combines it all.

Because I have years of experience spanning old-school methods years ago through to the most up-to-date ways of working. People can also see several hundred case stories showing just how I work. They don't go in to it blind. Beginners have to learn on clients. I don't. I go to many cases of people who have already had a behaviourist or trainer (ever more than one) and the dog is no better. I then have put them on the right road. I have a great number of testimonials.
