Referred by Estate agent Pattinsons to these people for conveyancing on a tight time line to complete. They took my money quickly then waited two weeks to respond to my messages before telling me my case was too difficult for them leaving just a week to complete. I ignored the next incompetent referral from Pattinsons as it was twice the original price from Taylor rose and got my own local solicitor who handled my case easily. It's my opinion Taylor rose are either not competent solicitors or just conveyancers with a limited understanding of house purchasing laws and clearly in my case dangerously unreliable as if I had not met the deadline I would have lost £20,000 fees. It also took Taylor Rose 3 months to return my fees after several phone calls. Of course Pattinsons are equally culpable for recommending Taylor Rose. More...

Compliance for AML made an irelevant request for information at the last minute which would have jepordized the house purchase unless my company and a 3rd party jumped through hoops to appease them. Letters from my accountant and and a loan company stating 'we have the ability to pay our debts' has nothing to do with anti money laundering. I should point out that Taylor Rose was representing us (not the seller) and we are experienced property developers with an unblemished credit record. When i escalated the supervisor was 'too busy and too important' to discuss with me. Further escalated to customer complaints who appeared to have not even read my complaint.....certainly never answered my question on the relevance of the AML request. So be warned instructing this company to represent you on a house sale or purchase. They are likely to ask you irrelevant information at the last minute......without justification More...

The experience was not pleasant, I was expecting a better customer service and I was expecting things explained to me when paperworks are sent out, but they seem to expect you to know it and If I knew it, I wouldn't need a solicitor would I? The portal was a rip off, you have to upload all the documents yourself and on top you have to pay £60 to them for all the work you did. Be aware of additional cost they will keep adding up. It happens that we have to use them again but lucky we cancelled them as the previous experience put us off. Had a horrific December after this firm suffered a data breach which delayed our remortgage for 35 days. Unfortunately the firm was not honest about the scale of the incident. They could not even confirm receipt of our signed mortgage deed delivered by recorded delivery which they eventually lost. We would have appreciated some honesty and perhaps would suggest switching firms to complete without delay. Instead, their empty promises caused us to waste time. When all documentation was ready after mid December, the staff went on holiday instead of urgently dealing with our already delayed remortgage. We were promised compensation early December but now they are only offering 15% of our actual loss. And guess what, they are still denying that the incident happened to them despite this being public knowledge. Having demonstrated such blatant disregard for their clients' best interest, which they are obliged to consider under solicitor conduct rules, we cannot say that we could trust this firm with any legal matters. Do Not use this company especially Neil Pota he has to be the worst solicitor I have had to deal with he is so slow to do things even our estate agent was asking him in the end why everything was taking so long(simple house sale no chain)I think he enjoys being in control and really doesn’t care about people or consequences he told us everyday for 2 weeks from the 2nd January everyday that he would send contract out to his clients (our buyers) finally exchanged on 19th January. I would like him to answer a question as to why he sent an email to our solicitor telling them he may be able to exchange between Christmas and New year knowing that he hadn’t even sent out the contracts?? I'm writing this review from my own experience as a client of this practice. Not at all satisfied by the way they did my conveyancing. The house vendor wrongly disclosed that the house was fully freehold, instead of standing by my side, they didn't do anything. Also they charged a lot of money for simple one or two email correspondence with the vendors solicitors. Greedy in every way. They were nice in the beginning and was about to refer a few friends to them. Immediately after the experience I had, told them to avoid. Haven't received a single communication after paying their fees (was expecting at lease one email from them confirming the registration of the property). Not at all satisfied. Would never recommend it to any of my good friends (to enemies, yes!). AVOID! Edit - when sent a chase up email to know the status, their server rejected 'suspecting spam'! More...

1 STAR is TOO much for this company. I have been trying to get money owed to me since November 2023. For weeks their system was down! eMail replies are incredibly slow or non existent. Everything has to be chased. I've tried to involve the CEO but he refuses to engage. I am simply referred back to the customer care department and their 'process' which is simply in place to delay and deter.
