The lads done a fantastic job in my garden, it was a jungle in there and they cleared so much stuff for me, and all in half a days work too! They arrived bang on time and just got on with it. The garden now looks great and can i actually start to do stuff. Will definitely be using them again for other services... and the price, very reasonable.

A really great job replacing my fence and removing an unwanted tree. They came on time, worked smartly, did high quality work and cleared up behind themselves. Their prices are more than keen and the service was friendly. They were also very patient with me as I mucked them around a little bit, changing dates twice once at the last minute and then changing it back again, but they accommodated me without fuss.

Thanks guys. Super job.

Really great job clearing trees and shrubs and a very overgrown bed in my garden. The three of them worked extremely hard. Will definitely use again. Highly recommended.

Really great group, in spite of a lot of hitches ( not their fault, just very difficult garden terrain) they worked tirelessly to get a first class job finished. It was completed early and everything cleared up after them. Very pleased with the finished result, would definitely use them again.

Review of Stockwood gardening services by Christine Grew

This is a wonderful place to come, on your own, with a friend or with a young family. Lots of interest inside and out with permanent and short exhibitions, lovely gardens to stroll in, a natural playground for children to test their climbing and clambering skills plus a cafe and loos, and easy parking. The amazing thing is it's all free! There is a donation box as donations help it to continue to run and a shop with a range of gifts, some inexpensive items for kids to spend their pocket money on. Friendly staff too, who will offer guidance what to see and do.

Me & my husband came with our 5 children and I must say it is a beautiful place with some wonderful history and plenty of exciting things for children to do. I personally loved that the kiddies had to pull out the draws to find more pieces of history.
There is clearly a lot of hard work put into the grounds and it really shows.
I think there should be a small charge to enter to keep it running at such a high standard.
Fabulous place for all ages.

One of the hidden pearls in Luton. Until you go there, it is almost impossible to believe that such places exist. The gardens are beautifully manicured with some amazing trees. The Bee Exhibition is fascinating. The Old Stables provided a wonderful setting to show the many natural history exhibits together with some of the collection of Thomas Wyatt Bagshaw. He amassed a huge record of occupations that are now all past and replaced by modern technology. There is also an amazing collection of carriages. It is just an incredible place and highly recommended.

Great place to take the kids and explore the history rather than watching it on a screen.

Well maintained gardens.

This really is a gem.

Located only minutes from the M1 (J10a)

Parking: extensive parking, with plenty of spaces for disabled access.

Discovery centre is very well maintained, featuring an eclectic mix of items from history, including those related to the history of Luton. A real joy to see their selection of carts and outside a resorted contraption engine, which unfortunately doesn't operate.

A vegetable garden, again very well maintained and rather sweet to walk around.

There's a super play area for children. I really can't impress how great this area is.

Best of all, it's free. The entire experience does not cost a penny, though I would suggest a donation or purchase from the gift shop to allow this jewel to continue running.

If on a budget, this would be a super way to spend a day. Educational, fun and great for children. Bring a picnic.

Incidentally, this is yet another project part funded by the European Social Fund.

A little gem, they have a surprisingly big and comprehensive transport museum holding vintage cars to carriages and trucks.

There is also a lovely little topiary garden and a farm museum with farm machinery and displays about agriculture.

Then there is a larger garden for picnics or walking around as well.

The cafe is really good serving small meals, snacks, ice-cream and coffee.

Almost forgot there's a little kids play area with seating outside the cafe.

Oh, and it's free.
