Brilliant! Just brilliant. Sally May could not have been more helpful when I recently sourced all the flowers from her for my friend’s wedding. She not only encouraged and gave helpful input, she was also really attentive regarding quantity and when I underestimated she had a fix with a next day order of exactly what was needed! Sally recently did the flowers for our wedding. At the initial consultation Sally was friendly, accommodating and gave brilliant advice based on her extensive knowledge and experience. Sally was always at the end of the phone or more than happy for me to pop in when I was passing. Everything was confirmed in writing and I had a further chat over a coffee to confirm everything a month before. Three days before the wedding I needed to add something to the order. This was no problem at all and dealt with quickly and professionally. On the day Sally brought the flowers to the Venue at the agreed time and was fantastic is ferrying them up & down the stairs and making sure that I was happy with them - which of course I was, they were fantastic, beautiful and everything I had wanted! I live in America now but grew up in Shiptonthorpe. I have been using Sally May for afew years now to send mum mothers day flowers and birthday flowers. I consistently hear from my mum that the flowers last a very long time and are presented beautifully. I always ask them to just go crazy and create whatever they like within a certain budget and they always come out top notch. Its great to see local shops like this consistently doing great service. Personally I don't like ordering flowers from a website as it is so impersonal so I make the long distance call everytime so I can speak to them myself and its always a joy. Before I start I would like to say that I rarely go into florists as I find the whole experience daunting. I find the appearance of florists appalling, as they tend to look like the inside of my grans pantry (bright and sterile) or resemble a woman’s boudoir (wrong). However, I like Sally’s shop as it’s the first Florist which is designed for blokes! As for the florist, she doesn’t remind you of your headteacher and is very approachable and knowledge and will gladly tell you if a colour doesn’t exist (Cadburys Purple – thanks Facebook). The last flowers I bought from Sally was for my mum’s birthday and my mum thought the flowers were stunning and they lasted for ages as well… bonus! I like this florist a lot and I would happily shop there again, even if it is to sit in the window and watch Market Weighton’s finest race pass on their OAP scooters (shouldn’t these things have restrictors placed on them) ha.
