Excellent place! Very professional and took care of the customers. I had booked a private hack but a lovely woman who was watching her daughter do her pony club test wanted to go out for a hack so they rang me and ask me first which is lovely. In fact they really care about the customers that they gave me a different horse (lovely Della) so I could enjoy the ride and not worry. They also took good care of their horses and they were update to date with the new research which I was pleased to see. For example they knew that new research says that you should be able to fit two fingers under the noseband as any less causes damage to the nerves. There horses were also great. They were forward going and aware of their surroundings and sounds but at the same time they were very safe and sensible. They were definitely horses that a beginner can learn on but an advanced rider could enjoy. More...

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. Brilliant place. Well organized, fantastic staff and fair prices. George and her gang took my wife, son and me on a great 2-hour hack with beautiful scenery and fun banter the whole way round. Ended up with a quick novice canter back at the school. They really know what they're doing and make you feel at ease the whole time. The horses are just incredible beasts and clearly loved and well looked after here. We will definitely be back again next time. Highly recommend them if you're looking for anything horse-related in the area. More...

I had a two hour trek on Thursday after getting my GCSE results and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. It was so nice to just have a relaxed trot around the countryside nearby and the staff were absolutely lovely! I rode Samson and he was just the dream horse! Having not rode for 7 years , my daughter booked us a 2 hour trek , which was very enjoyable, the staff made us feel very welcome , and feeling a little nervous I was reassured the whole time , and felt very relaxed and at ease , the horses were all very very well looked after , a most enjoyable day and hope to return again soon

My sister and I had the most amazing 2 hour ride through absolutely beautiful countryside! The horses were lovely and responsive and the lady who took us out was a pleasure to spend time with and gave us opportunity to have some fabulous canters. We also arranged for our 4 children aged 4-9 to have a pony ride. When we arrived I found out that our youngest, aged 2, could also have a pony ride and it was no problem at all for an additional pony to be tacked up at short notice! My sister and I booked a lesson at Country Treks after a recommendation and also not having rode for about 20 years! Roon our coach was fabulous and our horses spot on for us. I’ve since volunteered too and met Dan (who is ace too!) and a couple of other coaches whom are all very welcoming and encouraging. What an amazing amazing place. We brought our 4 and 6 year old children for their first ever ride. Our little girl has learning difficulties and we worried how she would cope. The staff were AMAZING with her and when our son had a little wobble at the beginning the staff distracted him too snd et thr end of the 30 minutes he was trotting. Joy, Harriet, Fiona and me (The Pippa and Bunty riding club!!! ) had the best weekend at Country Treks. We are 50 somethings wanting to recreate our pony mad youth in a fun safe way ( with more alcohol! ) Our two day trail ride was superb. Amazing, fit, sensible horses. Lots of chat, fabulous countryside and exciting canters. I haven't stopped smiling for the duration. The team matched our horses to our riding abilities perfectly. Steph and Ash were our most excellent guides. Making the experience fun, informative. We all gained confidence during these rides as well as sore muscles!! Getting to the Brown Clee summit ( even in the rain) was fabulous. The views are spectacular. The cross country jumping taster we had on the Monday was an adrenaline buzz. Dan was a great instructor taking time to explain principles I had long forgotten. The few jumps we did has been again a real confidence boost, exhilarating. Steph and her friendly team cannot do enough for their clients. I wish we lived nearer... The catering was top notch too. Everything was professional and quality. Thanks so much, we'll be back soon. My 10 year old daughter has just returned from an amazing 5 days at Country Treks. We had a warm welcome Monday morning and I felt more than comfortable leaving her in their capable hands. After a couple of days we had no phone calls showing she was far too busy having an amazing time! They pack lots in and do different activities in the evenings and are well fed. Can’t recommend Country treks enough! We were the customers from hell, asked could we bring our own horse, changed our minds twice, asked for overnight accommodation and then didn’t need it. They were helpful and accommodating from the beginning of us booking. My daughter ended up bringing her horse and they were so well looked after she was quite sad to come home. She’s made friends and already planning a reunion return trip next year. Wonderful company that gives kids summer holidays to remember.
