What do you love most about your job?
I genuinely love my job and all things accountancy and I have done since I was young. My family owned a small steel reconstruction business and from the age of 12 I assisted with the accounts records, payroll & CIS for the men.
Since then I have travelled the world as an accountant having lived in Australia and Bermuda, and have gained experience working with: PLCs, private equity, SMEs.
The best feeling is receiving positive feedback from my clients either because I have saved them money (perhaps through personal tax refunds) or improved their business in ways they didn't expect.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have over fifteen years accounting and tax experience working across the globe, with people and small to large sized businesses. In that time I realised that no accountants speak the same language as the clients that they are trying to help. After my boyfriend told me how much he was paying to have his tax return prepared that was the final straw and I set up COUNT. We are confident that we can offer value that will contribute to the long term sustainability of your business.

Having worked in the accounting profession for over 15 years I know that most accountants seem to speak a different language. Most of them over complicate things and do not take the time to truly understand their clients businesses.
