From September 2016 to present.

As the UK's number one text messaging service, Textlocal provides an award-winning platform to help enhance marketing and communications within businesses. My role as a Content and Social Media Executive is to conceptualise, create and write compelling marketing material to inspire new businesses to use our services. I do this via blogs, guest blogs, white papers, flyers, email campaigns, direct mail, PR pieces and content syndication (to name a few). As an ambassador of content and brand, I've created a complete tone of voice guide for the wider business. This forms the basis of what Textlocal stands for and how we want to communicate with our customers. I'm also in charge of the company's social media platforms. Using Hootsuite and my monthly planner, I've implemented a strategy that's significantly increased our presence, grew our following and continues to drive potential customers to our website. Further responsibilities include proofing and editing content for fellow marketers and members of the sales team.



From July 2015 to September 2016.

I worked as a Copywriter onsite at Barclaycard for Communisis. As a team, we produced a huge range of marketing assets which were sent to thousands of Barclaycard customers, used online and seen in branches across the UK. One of my main responsibilities was creating the content across Barclaycard's social media platforms. This included producing a monthly scheduling planner designed to optimise sales, engagement and increase awareness of Fee Free Friday. My other responsibilities included writing direct mail, internal posters, incident letters, blogs, in-branch postcards and entertainment emails. I also played an active part in rebranding the website and proofreading all content before publication. All of my copy had to be of the highest quality to ensure it was on brand and suitable in the eyes of Legal and Compliance. With so many restrictions and tight deadlines to work to, the position pushed me to work more creatively, precisely and quickly.

From March 2014 to July 2015.

The Entrepreneurs Circle is a multi-million pound business, working with some of the UK’s best marketers and nationally recognised millionaire entrepreneur; Nigel Botterill. I was in charge of writing all of the marketing for over 40 B2B and B2C clients on the highly successful ‘done for you marketing team’ – Premier. My position entailed generating leads and coming up with smart and innovative marketing campaigns and copy that brought in thousands of pounds for a variety of companies. My work included writing quirky direct mail sales pieces, engagement email campaigns, newsletters, websites, brochures, blogs, squeeze pages and advertisements – all of which were carefully crafted to speak to the target audience and optimise SEO keywords/Facebook Ads for maximum results. Working under a tight schedule, I organised all of my workload, ensuring all of my clients were completely happy with the service I was providing them. I also kept the clients up to date with our progress and played a key role in identifying the costs and risks of running all of the marketing campaigns we proposed.

Chemist Direct

From October 2013 to March 2014.

I was part of a special team dedicated to writing product descriptions for thousands of pharmaceutical products for the new website. I reformatted the layout of the site where I used AMO, learnt how to use HTML coding and extensively researched the many products on sale. It was also very important for me to target keywords, trends and searches so we ranked highly from an SEO point of view. Within a month I was put in charge of writing exclusive articles and blogs for the Men’s Health section. I was also handpicked to create the brand page tag lines for advertised products, as well as writing informative/entertaining articles for Chemist Direct, which were syndicated on national websites including the Daily Mail.
