Just had Peter and James out to replace old, crumbling cement on 3 of the skews, also on two chimneys and they had to re-bed all the ridges. They also managed to replace a blocked down pipe which has been causing issues for a while. It's an older style property so they had to adapt certain things but I fully trust that what they have done is 100% correct! These guys really know their stuff, very thorough, they have put my mind at ease! Couple of hardworking, trustworthy local guys, happy to help, good guys! Have had issues with roofers in the past but would recommend this company to anyone and will call on their services again in the future, no. 1 to call. They kept me informed of what they had found and what their plans were to correct any issues, turned up when they said including working over the weekend to make up time lost having to replace rotten wood which we were unaware of until they took off the slates. Peter and his crew did a great job for us. On this job they replaced sarking boards, reslated, replaced gutters and downpipes, did pointing on the front of the building chimneys and all the skews, replaced chimney cans and even some dormer joinery. They provided scaffolding at a very competitive price and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. The workmanship appears to be solid and the communication throughout the job was excellent. I can't fault Peter's service at all. The pricing that he gave us was very competitive and even when problems were discovered during the job, he did not take the opportunity to give outrageous prices for the additional work (even though he could have since the roof was open!).We would definitely use Peter and his crew again in the future. Pete and his team did a great job sorting out the skews and replacing guttering on our old granite house. All were in need of work and in some places the sarking boards required lifting and replacing due to rot. All work was completed to a high standard and we have remained water tight ever since. At the same time we were advised that our small flat roof needed some attention and following a full explanation of the issue all work was completed. Peter from City Roofing recently replaced my elderly Mum's Velux window. He asked Mum if she minded him contacting a member of her family just to keep us in the loop. Throughout the job, he kept me, and Mum informed of what he was doing and the cost. He even sent me photos of how the work was progressing. The window was fitted perfectly, all papered and painted round it, and Peter even took her Hoover up to the loft and cleaned up all the dust! Governed by previous reviews I found on line I asked City Roofing to provide an estimate to completely re-tile my roof and replace my flat roof felting. The price given was surprisingly good and I was able to discuss any add ons possible based on my knowledge of previous patching of my roof.City Roofing did everything they said they would keeping me informed of issues they uncovered. I decided to contact Peter at City Roofing to replace my very large flat roof after experiencing leaks over the years due to a poor job by the original contractors. I was impressed that he got back to me very quickly and came over the same day to have a look. He was very knowledgable about the problem and work started not long after our first meeting. Peter and his colleagues came to my property mid january after inspecting my roof and found the problem, i recently had several roofing companys out to try and fix it but it was never fixed and kept leaking, it was becoming a real problem, city roofing fixed the problem after a short wait due to being busy which is understandable, the quote i recieved from peter was very reasonable for the work carried out as well, its now mid march and still bone dry, very friendly guys and brilliant service, thanks again city roofing.

Brought them in to assess the root cause of a mould problem only a couple of days before Christmas. Phoned them on the Thursday and they were out to look it over on the Friday (23rd December! ).They did a full assessment of the roof and guttering that day, and provided evidence of my problem and a very reasonable quote. Even apologised that they couldn't start the work until the first week of New Year - which I could hardly have complained about, given that the period is full of bank holidays and short weeks!Started the work exactly two weeks later - Fri 6th. Worked into the weekend, and finished on the Monday and cleared the site. After suffering an ongoing leak to the chimney area of my flat, I requested 6 different contractors to take a look to hopefully resolve the issue. Out of them (the ones that bothered turning up), only Peter seemed to know what he was talking about. Within a week City Roofing had started the work, sending photos and updates as they went along as I was out of the country at the time. Peter and his team did a fantastic job repairing our roof. A supposedly reputable firm had done the work initially, didn't fix it properly so we still had a leak and they then refused to come back and honour the garauntee. Peter came when he said he would, he repaired the shoddy work that the other company had done and then made the required repairs. He sent pictures before and after so we could see what had been done.
