Being older than the average Personal Trainer means that I have had real experience of many of the issues facing people as they become less active and more overweight. Many of my clients have tried the gym and most diets on offer and still find success has eluded them. What I offer is a change to a longer, healthier and more active lifestyle though a series of 12 week programmes of either, fitness and toning, fitness and weight loss or body transformation for my larger clients.
Now in my tenth year of business I have teamed up with Precision Nutrition who are reputably the best Nutrition education and weight loss company in the world. As a qualified practitioner for PN I can now offer their methods and technology at a fraction of the price they charge and I am positive it will benefit all of my future clients.
In addition, we use Fitbit wearable tech and there excellent tracking software to motivate and measure progress when I am not with you.

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
What is and what is not, a healthy diet? The answer to that question is one that has confounded people looking to lose weight for many years and has been exploited by the food industry, the fitness industry, the weight loss industry ........... the list goes on. The thing about eating and food is that everything is a compromise, too much of a good thing, even "healthy" food is still too much. And a burger is not necessarily bad, in moderation. But if you want to be a competitive athlete you cannot be fueled on budweiser, if you want to lose weight you have to accept that you may feel hungry at times. The key is in finding out how YOU respond to food choices and making small changes and introducing healthy habits practiced with consistancy. We can do that together.
How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I help my clients to achieve their fitness goals by first understanding exactly what those goals are and by breaking them down into small steps with measureable milestones along the way so that we can make sure the programme is working and if not, we can make adjustments.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
To get the body of your dreams you first need to visualize what that body will look like, where will you be? how long have you set yourself to achieve? How will you feel when you are there? This visualization is perhaps the most important aspect of a successful outcome. Then, by introducing regular and enjoyable exercise and making changes to your eating habits, you will soon be on your way to getting that body.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the interaction with my clients. I learn so much and just when I have it all worked out, something or someone comes along to challenge my beliefs and perceptions. People are fabulous and my greatest joy is helping people to discover for themselves just how fantastic they are and to love themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Mostly that I love working with people and outdoors but also that I thought the fitness and weightloss industries had the wrong approach. e.g - exercise alone will not make you lose weight and dieting will not make you fit - together there is a winning combination.
