We used Catherine to do our blue ruffle wedding cake on 4th August and it was amazing! I found a picture on Pinterest of a cake that matched our coloring theme and showed Catherine and she matched it completely and it even looked better than I could imagine. For our wedding cake we contacted three different cake makers. From the three we chose Cake Maid by Catherine. We were very impressed with Catherine's attention to detail from start to finish.
Firstly she visited us in our own home and brought with her a small sample cake of how our own wedding cake would taste and its texture.
The cake when we picked it up was decorated beautifully and we were extremely pleased with the end product.
The guests at our wedding gave us rave reviews and we are just waiting for the next opportunity to purchase from Catherine again. More...

We had a very definite idea of how we wanted our cake to look and I even emailed my thoughts over to Catherine before our first meeting. We wanted a selection of midi-cakes, cupcakes and a bigger round cake, each with a slightly different design. For our first chat she turned up with a sample midi cake in a gorgeous lemon sponge with a lemon curd and zingy lemon buttercream, complete with green flowers and ribbon as per our ideas. She advised us on what would and wouldn’t work for each cake. Her attention to detail was outstanding, her ability to put our vision into practice was fantastic and best of all the cakes were scrumptious. Correspondence with Catherine was always quick and easy. Our wedding guests loved the range of cakes and there was even enough left over for our freezer for us to enjoy later. I wouldn’t hesitate in ordering from Catherine again. 5* all the way. More...

We chose Catherine to make our wedding cake for the 31st March 2018 because she was so caring and attentive. We had a gluten free cake and it was the best cake we have ever eaten! It was so beautiful and we had lots of amazing compliments. People could not believe that it was gluten free! We got married in 2010 and Catherine made our wedding cake for us. We had quite specific ideas of what we wanted including the flavours of each layer. We wanted an orange layer (like lemon, but orange!) and although Catherine had not done this before, she took on the challenge and made our wishes happen. She made a tester first, and the cake was exactly what we wanted.

We are so grateful for having a pretty, but most of all completely delicious cake with different flavours for each layer.

The cake also froze beautifully so we could have some after our honeymoon and for a while afterwards!
