Really like Blakelands, lots of lovely outdoor spots for photos but also, on the wedding I shot there recently it started raining, they have some great interiors so we did a lot of photos inside, no problem. Meeting new people and helping them to capture their memories of such key moments - although that sounds a tad like some marketing person wrote it.
When a couple (assuming wedding for the moment) come back from honeymoon and come to collect their album or digi package or DVD - seeing their delight in our "work"
What bothers me most is when someone collects their DVD and tells me how disappointed they are in their photography from their other chosen company.
Not the normal answer perhaps but the "business" was actually not intentional but a hobby that has gotten horribly out of hand during the last 20+ years.
Easy, a genuine desire to deliver top quality service and a superb end product.
The company that does this solely for their living will generally do as little as they can in order to get paid, which is why most companies state "we only cover 6-8 hours" or such.
The person or persons that genuinely enjoy (whilst simultaneously worry about) each wedding will, in my opinion, deliver a better outcome with fewer (if any) constraints.
For example, Maxine recently received a review on Facebook where the commenter mentioned her commitment of 13+ hours attendance - unlike others this carried no additional charge!
