It's so special to find someone so lovely who really has captured the personality of my two pugs, Arla and Otis who also loves animals. We went to Waltersphoto for a family portrait and as a new experience for us didn't really know what to expect. We have two small children who are not the best at sitting still either. We needn't have worried as we were made to feel comfortable the moment we walked through the door.The photographer, Alan, was really good at getting results that looked both natural and extremely professional - we sent them to family members and friends, some of whom, I know have since been to Waltersphoto for a photo session themselves.

I have always been a people person and love photographing people, capturing their personalities in creative images. I find that there is little more rewarding than delighting clients with a beautiful and lasting record of their special day and see them share their favourite images with their friends and family over social media.
I feel that it is important that I click with my wedding clients rather than just clicking the camera shutter. Understanding a little of their relationship helps me anticipate and capture those special emotional moments during the celebrations. I am happy to say that I remain friends with many of my brides and grooms.
I have loved photography since my schooldays and have developed my technical skills and appreciation of the art for over forty years. My main career, whilst teaching me many skills invaluable to my photography was not an artistic one and it is only since I retired from it that I was able to create Rutland Photographic and indulge in my passion as a professional.
My style is to create a reportage, documentary record of a wedding day with informal and sometimes candid photographs of the couple, family and friends. I do of course include traditional posed portraits of the bride and groom and groups of guests and where the opportunity arises, a few creative “art wedding” images.
I am a creative and personable photographer who loves what I do and love to delight my clients with a beautiful photographic record of their special day.
