‘21 Certificate of Excellence

I'm a passionate, full time wedding and portrait photography. I have 20 years experience photographing for national magazines such as red, Glamour and Grazia, have shot over 100 weddings and have many family shoots under my belt. Photography has always been my passion and career. I capture honest, creative, natural, joyful and spontaneous wedding photography, as well as fun filled family sessions too. I also shoot lifestyle photography for small businesses, which includes portraiture, interiors and product photography. My work is a little alternative, certainly heartfelt, and very relaxed with tonnes of heart and soul. My aim always is to capture the special moments, the in-betweens and the belly laughingly fabulous images for you to cherish. Based near Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Saffron Walden, I do wedding and family photography in Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and throughout the UK. Feel free to ask me any questions as I’d love to hear from you. Thanks again!

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I am constantly doing new things, meeting new people and creating something new. I love turning up at a job, and not knowing how it will pan out. I love that I'm constantly capturing moments in time, created or natural depending on the job.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always done photography, from school, to studying a degree in photography. I then was a self employed photographers assistant before getting my own commissions for national magazines. From there I began wedding and family photography too. I have been a self employed photography for the last 20 years, and I am thrilled that my business has evolved and changed over this time to allow me to continue to make a living from photography.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I am honest and trustworthy and I have a huge amount of experience doing what I do. I'm a pretty nice person to spend time with, be that a short family session or full day wedding. I'm quiet but friendly, I want to do a good job for you always, and I take a good photograph! I genuinely will try my best for you, I want my clients to love the results, so I will work tirelessly with you to capture the images you want to cherish.

Every couple wants their wedding day to be the best day of their life. The job of a wedding photographer is to capture the memories and the emotions of your wedding day, so that you never forget it. Future generations will be able to look back on your wedding photos as a defining moment in history and feel the emotions of your day.

Although there is no requirement to have two photographers for your wedding, it allows more moments to be captured. For example, one photographer can be with the bride whilst she is getting ready whilst the other captures the arrival of the groom and the preparations for the ceremony. Having two photographers means that you’ll get shots that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise, and capture more memories of your special day.

The number of hours of wedding photography that you need depends on how much of your day you want to document, as well as the timing of your day. Most couples choose for the photographer to arrive an hour before the ceremony to capture the final preparations, and then stay until the end of the first dance. 6 to 8 hours of coverage is usually plenty for small to medium sized weddings.
