I found Jeremy, of JCJ photography online after looking at his pictures. My husband and I wanted a photographer who could take artistic photos of our newborn daughter. Jeremy came to our house, talked to us at length about what we wanted and set to work! He spent three hours with our family and was extremely patient with our children. I could tell that it was just as important to him to get that perfect shot as it was to us. The outcome? We had so many beautiful photos of our family that it became difficult to choose which ones we were the most happy with! What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
As famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson once claimed, truly compelling photographs are about capturing that 'decisive moment' where the relationship and magic between those framed within the lens is captured in dynamic visual form. I make it my job to be an absolute pro at capturing that! I specialise in taking photographs that emphasise the natural aesthetic of each event and subject.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Can we meet would be the first question on my list for clients. I like to arrange a free consultation to get the ball rolling. It's only during that first meeting that I can really assess what makes a client tick, as the final photographs should demonstrate the uniqueness of each of my clients in aesthetic and taste.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting and working with a diverse range of people. I am a perfectionist and in this job that's most certainly an asset!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I recognise the need for more high quality photographers who offer competitive packages in the industry, and enjoy contributing something unique.
