"Beautiful, sustainable and locally sourced floral designs for all occasions. Wedding flowers a speciality". Botany Exmoor provides a floral design service to Bampton, Dulverton and surrounding areas, but can travel further afield for weddings and other special occasions. Weddings are such exciting, beautiful, emotional occasions, and flowers can play an integral part in bringing the day together, with their different scents, colours and meanings. It is always a privilege to be able to play a part in making the day special, and your wedding will be the only one I will be working on that weekend so I can be totally dedicated to it. I love the challenge of fulfilling a bespoke order or an unusual request, but I can also offer some fuss-free packages if you are finding wedding planning a bit stressful. Whatever you choose, I will always try to make your wedding flowers as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible, for example by sourcing locally grown flowers and biodegradable packaging.
I love making a contribution to a couple's big day, and helping to turn their ideas and dreams into reality. The best moment is when you hand over the bouquets and the bride sees them for the first time. I also love working with the flowers of course!
I wanted to be able to work in the place where I live, which is stunning - just on the southern edge of Exmoor. I have been a teacher for many years, but as I love flowers and gardening and always had a creative side, I decided to train as a florist and after a few years, I set up Botany.
Many of my clients have chosen me to do their flowers as they love my wild, rustic style and the locally grown flowers and sustainable materials that I tend to use whenever possible. I also offer the best of both worlds - I am trained and qualified as a florist, but I also work from home so I have lower expenses than a shop florist. This means I can offer more affordable wedding flower packages than some. Being a qualified and experienced teacher, I can also offer wedding flower workshops if you fancy doing some of your flowers yourself!
