Hodsons Catering Services is a bespoke catering company, operating from our purpose built commercial kitchen in Newbury. We cater for private parties, ranging from a romantic dinner for two all the way through to large scale functions, weddings & events. We cover the areas of Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Wiltshire My name is Jamie Hodson, I have been a chef for almost 20 years. Cooking is my passion and being a chef is who I am. I have worked in many different avenues of catering from my time in fine dining restaurants to contract catering. I started out my career in London at The Reform Club and National Portrait Gallery. From there I moved to the countryside where I worked for Marco Pierre White and on to The Crab at Chieveley, an award winning seafood restaurant, working my way up from Sous Chef to Head Chef and maintaining its 2AA Rosette standards for 5 years. From there I moved back to London to work for Gordon Ramsay at his 3AA Rosette “The York & Albany” where I worked under Colin Bouchan and Angela Hartnett before she moved on to open Murano. After this I took on the role of Head Chef at St Paul’s Cathedral across the busy Café operation, fine dining restaurant and large scale function catering business. I have since started my own catering business Hodsons Catering Services and I would love the opportunity to cook for you.

I felt that after years of working under great chefs it was time for me to take what I have learned and blend it all to create a business which allows me the freedom to take it in the direction that I choose. I wanted the opportunity to choose my suppliers, who I want to work with and what I and my clients what on the menu.
I am personable and professional and I will always listen to what the client wants rather than pushing what I want to do on them.
I understand that it is their event, I will offer my ideas and advice and together we build the picture of their event.
