Linkin City FC are named after the most famous band from this region, Linkin Park. They've been around since 1884, so they're one of the oldest teams in all the land, and the city of Lincoln is a beautiful place famous for its sausages and its stunning old cathedral. I also had an excellent concert in this city once. There's a county rivalry with Grimsby just up the road, who are also in the same division.First-Hand Experience: I've now seen Lincoln play home and away, and the home game, in 2011, was fantastic. They were great, stadium great, fans great. I have to give them at least a 4. It's a lovely place to come and watch football and even though it's non-league, the fans are rabid. That's rabid, not rabbit. Great little club.The nickname is the Imps, not because the men in this region are small height-wise, but because they are small length-wise, Imp-sized if you wish. Which is why Lincoln girls love me so much, among other reasons.Lincoln has the record number of relegations from the league proper, the first four resulted in an immediate return but this time they've been stuck out of the league for 4 years and counting.Sincil* Bank actually holds over 10k people making it one of the largest non-league stadiums, so hopefully this team will be back in the big time soon, speaking of big, check this out (pdp). They play in red and white stripes like Sheffield United. Their manager is Chris Moyles from the radio. In other news, this review just ended.

Hey Kevin,Just wanted to send a quick message about The Lincoln Imp. Last night a mate & myself travelled up from Boston to see Black Moth. First time at this venue & we loved it. Was such a friendly atmosphere in the place. I talked with a couple of people "connected" to the venue to get more info on the vibe of the place etc. I don't think I spoke with yourself (Were you doing the sound?) but I did speak with someone in the know about the place. A chap on the doors told me there are plans to extend it etc.Anyway, it's a lovely little gig room with nice sound & lights. Though not a massive audience, it was very friendly & everyone was into it big time. Loved it when everything went off on the last song & band members joined us down the front in he crowd I always like to give feedback & all I can say is positive things about the place. We eat and drink here regularly. It’s my favourite Pub, with my favourite staff, a great atmosphere, great Beer, great wine, great food, outstanding service and an ambience that is both welcoming and relaxing. The first choice when we have friends and family visiting and for eating out on special occasion (my wife’s 40th and daughter’s 18th, for example) and the only go to for a bottle of wine, pint and food in the sunshine come Summer.
Not massively expensive, but just expensive enough to keep the money undesirables in Wetherspoons.
