Never been here before and lived in Skegness 6 years and live up the road . I’m not the type to do reviews but think this place deserves one . The venue is really lovely . Everything is so clean and presentable.. the main reason I wanted to review was because of all the staff ! They was soo friendly and helpful . One lovely lady accidentally got mustard on my dress as it was really busy and I was behind her and she didn’t see me . She was so apologetic and helpful ... the staff behind the bar gave me a free drink for the mishap which was really nice and unexpected.... not a bad word say . Had an over night stay here at the beginning of November (2019) |I was thoroughly impressed with the welcome we received. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, plenty of Free car parking outside the hotel . The Room on the second floor was spacious, well presented and warm. The bathroom was modern, well lit and again lovely and warm. Plenty of towels on hand too. The beds were very comfy with extremely thick, supportive, new mattresses and lovely hotel grade linen. The room had a kettle, tea and coffee facilities and a nice TV, good wardrobe and drawer space. Their was breakfast that could be purchased and evening meal offers, a conference room and a hall for weddings. As part of the hotel a lounge/bar area was available for hotel patrons and locals that seemed very friendly and well used. Driving from the hotel to central Skegness took approximately 4 mins, nice flat drive and the sea front was a couple of hundred yards away. Very reasonably priced and a very comfortable stay. We booked a last minute night stay at the Crown Hotel was pleasantly surprised how nice it was for the price we had a lovely spacious room which was warm and clean the only downside was the shower was over the bath so I was unable to use it We had an excellent night's sleep as it was so quiet and the bed was comfortable. Arrived 6pm ish in the evening to be greeted at reception by a very friendly receptionist who had us checked in quickly. We were on a wowcher break with free prosecco and sure enough there was a bottle in a wine chiller and 2 glasses waiting for us in our room. The room was very spacious, warm and although overlooked the car park, was very quiet. A modern, clean en-suite bathroom was just off the room with clean soft towels provided. We had a meal in the bar that evening and it was very nice and decent price, shame the restaurant wasn't open but plenty of room in the bar. Looks a little dated in parts but we got a warm welcome at reception our room was spacious had a lovely bay window clean and comfortable bed the down side was the shower was over the bath I had emailed the hotel to say I was disabled but for 1 night I went without it would have been a problem if I had been staying longer the full English breakfast was nice.

I stayed for one night with my two young children ||On arrival my first thoughts were oh dear what have I booked, this is because the building looks very dated. . However once inside it wasn't so bad in fact some may say cosy. I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who checked me in with ease.||I stayed in a family room and I must say it was wonderful we had two bedrooms along with a huge bathroom and shower, the beds were very comfy and the rooms presented very well even including toiletries.||I slept very well as there was no noise at all as the hotel is in a very respectable area.||The breakfast was made fresh and was very tasty ||Again the staff were very helpful ||I have decided that I will come again when I next visit Skegness ..||Great value, friendly staff and a great nights sleep! We stay for one night at the Crown hotel purely by accident. We had made a booking at the North Shore with booking.com but when we arrived they didn’t have a record of our booking and no rooms! |Fortunately they managed to get us a room at the Crown which I have to say is much better.|The room we had was lovely and clean with a big bed. Had everything we needed.|The man on the reception in the evening was very helpful and friendly but I have to say a special thank you to Michelle who we saw in the morning, she was really lovely she was so helpful and friendly. She managed to fit us in for breakfast as we hadn’t booked. She gave us excellent service and could not of been more helpful. |The breakfast was really nice lots of choice of juice, cereals and then a lovely full English :)|We would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying here again when we visit Skegness. The hotel is fifteen minutes walk to the beach, but this hotel is well worth the trip, friendly staff and bartender, food is excellent, and large portion, the rooms are spacious that we stayed in, beds are very comfortable, nice and soft. . We stay at the Crown Hotel Skegness quite a lot,our last visit 20aug we stayed for 4 nights with our Granddaughter and she loved the hotel we had a family room,bar staff are lovely and very helpful and the food is excellent, reception staff(all of them) are all very friendly and helpful,wouldn't go any where else, Abby the manager is doing a great job and is always smiling and very helpful

i have been stopping at the crown for some years now , and i can not fault it , the staff are brilliant will do anything for you only to ask , i have seen the hotel come up from the ashes it has taken some years and its still on going the decor is still on going i did spot were some one had draw on the wall and brought this to the attention of the handy man , as for my room very good the food out of this world well done Dean and the gang over all my stays at the crown are better than good would i recommend YES 100%

Absolutely amazing venue for our wedding! Abby and Cheryl were fantastic from the very first day we went in to check if our date was available! All the staff on the day were amazing and helpful and we really couldn’t of asked for anything more. The room was beautiful, the food was amazing and the bridal suite was huge and decorated really nicely. As we had also booked many rooms we loved the group breakfast the next morning and the buffet style was a lot more relaxed! Thank you all for an amazing day we would definitely recommend- 10/10! Stayed 1 night room 205 right by the kitchen extract which when on was noisy not any view from room.the room itself was clean. The mattress on the bed bad had it and was uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.check in check out went fine the breakfast was ok coffee out of sachets and add your own hot water. Full English served with tinned tomatoes which I left. Well after booking nearly a year ago, we was not expecting to have a fabulous 4 days stay here at the crown hotel. ||The staff were fabulous and hard working made us feel so very welcoming from the min we stepped in the door. ||Food was truly amazing and we were satisfied and stuff from the portion size! bed were comfortable and room size was fantastic if there anything wrong there were there to help. || we had the most amazing weekend stay. I stayed in a family room which has a double and single bed with en suite bathroom which was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a over bath shower , toilet and basin , towels are supplied. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy. The sunday carvery was delicious and also so was another meal in the bar area, my child was catered for as he is lactose intolerant so he didn't miss out on the ice cream included in the child dinner price. . The garden area at the back of the property was lovely for a child to play or adults to sit and relax There is a car park at the hotel . The staff were all wonderful, friendly and very helpful. My wife, daughter and I booked into the Crown online for a weekend before going to Butlin's for a week.||The website and reviews were promising, what you have on arrival is free car parking, simple check in, warm welcome and a really nice ensuite family room. ||A decent walk to Skeggy town centre after the drive from Aberdeenshire was what we needed!||The bar was busy with locals, which means if the people who live close by use it then it's not too bad! ||Great peaceful nights sleep followed by the best full English breakfast we've had in years, and attentive service from the staff as well.||We've booked for the same weekend next year in s two bed family suite and can honestly say we're looking forward to going back.||Great room, staff and food.
